CNN:

Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign rejected suggestions Sunday that Sen. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in hopes of brokering some kind of agreement with the likely Democratic nominee.

"I don't believe that Sen. Clinton is looking for a deal," Obama's chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, told "Fox News Sunday," when asked about suggestions she may want the Obama campaign's help retiring her campaign debt.

"I don't think that's what this is about," he said.

Last week, Obama sparked rumors that his campaign would pay off Clinton's campaign debts once he secured the nomination.

Dear Huffington Post,
Are you ever going to change this headline and article? It's been on for about 8 hours...

I think it would be ridiculous for her to run along side Obama.

Off-topic, but worth it---have any of you seen this Bill O'Reilly video, it's from a diary at the Kos. O'Reilly goes nuclear on it, off-camera, here's the link:

In 2001 as a newcomer to New York, Hillary insisted to the media that , as Senator, she would never consider running for the presidency "ever." She made secret plans then. So who knows what deal she's trying behind-the-scenes to push now?

I don't want her on the ticket, and I surely do not want Hillary or Bill Clinton campaigning for
Obama. They would clearly negate his message of change from the old politics. The Clintons would cause friction, making intentionally "accidental" insults or double-entendres designed to wound Obama's candidacy.

Even now, her decision to keep the race going is meant to embarrass Obama -- to muddy his nomination victory.

Obama told the people of Illinois that if they elected him U.S. Senator, he wouldn't run for president. So????

It is time for Obama and Clinton to swallow their pride and put aside their egos, and come together for the sake of this country and the world we live on. Four years of McBush is the option if they don't, and the world will not survive greed reigning.

NO! Obama should NOT take the evil witch as his number two. That would be antithetical to his message of CHANGE and HOPE.

There is no way one should compensate someone who waged a despicable scorched earth campaign. No way.

Roose,
Any message of change and hope was disspell by rev wright. As a Hillary supporter, I would not vote for the ticket if Hill accepts a vp spot. Should she take it, it may actually make Obama a pres. Hillary should stay on the sidelines, see the dems forfeit another election then win in 2012.
That would make you disrespectfull and hatefulll obama suporters suffer another four years. The Country will be OK with McCain.

Want to see something cool? Go look at the HC website and the "What's Happened" ad. It appears to have been edited by an Obama supporter. The article text does not match the headline and above the article it states, "Clinton aides admit it won't do much for you but help her politically."

CHECK IT OUT!

Sen. Obama should reward Hillary with an appointment to the Supreme Court if he is elected. It would give her power, and at least preserve our rights, liberties and freedoms.

What in the world would qualify Sen. Clinton for SCOTUS? That's absurd. Maybe Majority Leader as a token.

I read that she will not get the votes necessary to become Majority Leader. Senators have seen the way she has run her campaign and they're not pleased. Heck, she might not be able to stay in the Senate, after the sleazy campaign she has run against another Democrat. She should be shunned not rewarded.

What I find humorous is their contention that they are the only ones that can beat McCain, pointing to polls.

But, they couldn't beat an upstart Senator in his first term who started out on the outside looking in and built an organization and a campaign that will be the paradigm for years to come.

Even with the establishment machine in their favor, the Clintons blew it.

So, now we're supposed to believe they can beat the Republicans?

McAuliffe and Wolfson can prattle on ad nauseum but the looks on their faces tell the whole story. They are so obtuse that I hope they don't campaign for Obama after the nomination is settled. I want Obama to win, and he already has a team that can do it.

Terry, Howard, do us a favor and sit on the sidelines and STFU, OK? Same for you, Carville and Begala.

Yeah the logic just isn't there.

If Clinton can beat McCain, and Obama is beating Clinton, so therefore Obama can beat McCain.

It's called Hillogic.

VP suggestion - Ted Strickland - fills in Obama's supporter gaps

1. White - should calm the racists
2. Hard working Clinton supporter - may calm the Clintonistas
3. Gov. of a state w/ lots of blue collar voters - working class appeal

No way, he's called Obama's mailers false, dissed him publicly and repeatedly. The GOP could cut many anti-Obama ads just using his VPs words if it was Strickland.

This is the problem with choosing a Hillary supporter for VP, she pushed so many of them to come out and attack Obama that they are damaged goods and would damage Obama by being on his ticket.

How will he appeal to the 16+ million women who want Hillary to be president?
I think we've had enough white guys in the white house.
I want a woman VP, and I don't care who it is. Surely Obama can come up with someone if it's not Hillary. She should be the Senate Majority Leader.
Give us women a woman!

While I completely agree as a woman myself...that would double handicap Obama. Now he would have to contend with both the racists and the sexists. Too much change from what they are used to. To be practical I think it needs to be a white guy.

Would you rather have a woman and lose or have someone who supports womens rights and win? That's like us Obama supporters saying we want an African American on the ticket.

We will not have to worry about Obama, Clinton and McCain, because they will be incarcerated by November and Ron Paul will be the frontrunner.
