I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Emanuel And Kennedy

The New York Times:

On a day when it seemed that everybody was beating up on Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton -- even "Saturday Night Live" had run a skit making fun of her -- one person came to her defense on Sunday: Representative Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, the No. 3 Democrat in the House.

Mr. Emanuel called to assail Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Democrat of Massachusetts, for remarks he made when asked about the possibility of Senator Barack Obama of Illinois choosing Mrs. Clinton, of New York, as his running-mate.

"I have a lot of respect for Ted Kennedy, but I don't know how the hell he comes off saying that," said Mr. Emanuel, who has ties to Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama and has not endorsed in the race. "The gratuitous attack on her is uncalled for and wrong. He is a better senator than that comment reveals."

Whatever you think of Kennedy don't even think Emanuel's junior a$$ won't be handed to him, soon and there will be a leak telling us all about it... I can't wait! lol

It's real funny to me when these representatives try to buck up on senators. Emanuel's only saving grace is that he's friends with Obama. But watch for him and DLC members to get aired out soon.

Well, drunk or not, Kennedy's right. Taking Hillary on as a running mate would be like painting the tour bus with turds; sure it gets attention as it goes by, but it ultimately just stinks up the place.

Stunning to hear this old drunk comment on about "nobler aspirations".
Kennedy is living proof of Karma.

Rahm Emanuel, like John Edwards, is another gutless wonder in the Dem party.
Giuliani and Romney are repulsive individuals but at least they're smart enough to rally around their party's nominee.

I won't be surprised if Obama loses in Nov. partly because of milquetoast cowards like Emanuel and Edwards who prevented him from wrapping up the nomination more quickly. The uncommitted super delegates have cost Obama valuable time and are a disgrace to the Democratic party and to the electoral process.

verlaine, I agree. I have never ever met a bunch of spineless men before in my life. Hell, no wonder Hillary and Pelosi run the show. I loved the way the Republican party rally around McCain.. Awesome!

I agree with them being spineless and costing Obama valuable time he could have been addressing McCain. Then they wonder why the only two presidents from this party in the past 40 years have been Carter and Clinton. Spineless Windbags, afraid of a woman. James Carville should have said that HRC should loan her 1000 cojones to all her fellow DNC superdelegates and representatives on the hill... bunch of WIMPS

beboy,

I wish you would remember the Clintons history the way you remember Ted Kennedy.

They are evil scum indeed. That's pretty hard to forget. The Clintons and the Obamas are the reason that, for the first time in my adult life, I am very proud to be voting for the Republican Presidential nominee.

What I find kind of amusing Mr. Emanuel is telling Kennedy he's out of line -- I wonder how Hillary felt when Mr. Emanuel said this week that Sen. Obama is the presumptive nominee? I beginning to believe allot of these politicians are just trying to implant themselves in the spot light at this point. They've been all but mute thought out this process, seems now that the race is coming to a close they are suddenly finding their voice. Hummm---

Rahm Emanuel along with the rest of the DLC/zionist fifth column are petrified that their influence in the Executive will be greatly diminished with the Obama Administration.
Contrary to protestations of innocence, there IS a whisper campaign in the Jewish Community about what this means for Israel........a Nation about to put the warmongering Likkud back in the driver's seat.

Remember Rahm was alone in the Illinois Delegation to vote for war with Iraq...............and since you ask, no he never served in the Military-usually considered a republican trait.

I bet almost everyone's with Ted on this one. Emanuel does not have political courage like most of Congress.

Mmmmmm--Representative Rahm Emanuel ! Such a forgiving individual ---- considering the fact that it was Hillary who tried on numerous occasions to get him fired under Bill's reign. Perhaps he's thinking about the shrewdness.

Rahm Emanuel used to work in Bill Clinton's administration. He's new to Congress.

Quite the contrary. He is exactly right to say it and it comes on the heels of Clinton's 'working, hard working, white Americans' line.

Thank you Sen. Kennedy for your comments.

It's amazing how it is 'poor Hillary' now. She of a thousand lies and negative barbs. Nothing to feel sorry for here - move along.

I don't think the Representative from Illinois has any business telling the Senator from Massachusetts anything since Kennedy has been a Senator before Emanuel was born and definitely before he even grew facial hair.

Either way, Hillary will NOT be on the ticket for obvious reasons. Kennedy was blunt. That's how Democrats USED TO talk. All this "Don't hurt her feelings" crap is getting ridiculous. Since she's sooooo tough, she should take a reality check like the man she pretends to be.
