I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Emanuel And Kennedy

The New York Times:

On a day when it seemed that everybody was beating up on Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton -- even "Saturday Night Live" had run a skit making fun of her -- one person came to her defense on Sunday: Representative Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, the No. 3 Democrat in the House.

Mr. Emanuel called to assail Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Democrat of Massachusetts, for remarks he made when asked about the possibility of Senator Barack Obama of Illinois choosing Mrs. Clinton, of New York, as his running-mate.

"I have a lot of respect for Ted Kennedy, but I don't know how the hell he comes off saying that," said Mr. Emanuel, who has ties to Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama and has not endorsed in the race. "The gratuitous attack on her is uncalled for and wrong. He is a better senator than that comment reveals."

Rahm - don't be dissin' my man Ted. When your career ever approaches that of the good Senator, then you may have the creds. At least Teddy has taken a position on this race - unlike you.

kennedy's comment was hardly anything to take offense at, even if it does apply to her there's nothing that explicitly refers to hillary. Emanuel probably just felt the need to make up for pissing hillary off, by saying she was pretty much done the other day.

I liked it because he was the speaking like the typical vacillating weak Democrat that was afraid to be blunt. Society has gotten very sensitive to where politicians can only speak in soft generalities. This is exactly why the Dems can't stand up to Republicans and get anything done.

I do agree with what Kennedy said, and there was nothing wrong with his comment.

Kennedy has a lot of nerve. Talk about someone with baggage!! It's not like he conceded gracefully to Carter. He is a big, fat windbag.

What do you expect from a man who left a woman to die????! I think he is senile and Massachusettes needs to put him out of his agony and retire him!

We do NOT need a woman as president (there I said it)........she's acting like a woman getting a divorce but wants to argue over every piece of furniture in the house. If she was Hillary Smith, they would have been shut this mess down....hell if Obama was in her position the pundits would be saying "America is not ready for a black president".....the ONLY reason hillary has made it this far is because she is married to bill clinton.

"America is not ready for a black president".....actually hrc very clumsily made that claim last week.
THIS is what WE Democrats get for allowing the rightwing a seat at OUR table fore the last 30 years..infected racists with a (D) after their name.
