Novak: Michelle Obama Nixed Hillary As VP

Conservative columnist Robert Novak alleges in a new column that Michelle Obama has nixed the idea of Hillary Clinton as a VP candidate:

Close-in supporters of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign are convinced he never will offer the vice presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Clinton for one overriding reason: Michelle Obama.

The Democratic front-runner's wife did not comment on other rival candidates for the party's nomination, but she has been sniping at Clinton since last summer. According to Obama sources, those public utterances do not reveal the extent of her hostility.

But the Obama campaign brushed off the column in colorful terms:

[Barack Obama] dismissed it with a flit of his hand. He nearly didn't say anything, but then offered: "My wife does not talk to Bob Novak on a regular basis."

Communications director Robert Gibbs suggested afterward that the article should be set aside "in case of a toilet paper emergency."

Good come back from the Obama camp! Still, Robert Novak is a neocon hack who is a (willing?) party in an act of treason during a time of war (i.e. the Valerie Plame incident). While an argument might be made that he shouldn't go to prison, at very least he shouldn't have a forum to spout his discredited views.

It's hilarious how all of the neocon hacks pretend that they still have even the slightest amount of credibility left. Novak abuses the books he reads. He thinks it's clever the break the spine of great literary works. What an idiot. Anyone who really loves to reads takes care of their books.

It's very clear why Clinton can never be the VP, especially Obama's. She'd be running a shadow government from her naval base residence. Sheesh, they 'd probably have to end up arresting her before she led a coup to take over. Hillary Clinton is a crackpot, crazed for power and the last person on earth who should ever have any power.

I think this article is misleading. I don't truest Novak not to stir up trouble. I don't see obama doing anything he does not believe is good for him or the Demactate party! I think if he felt she was doing whats best for the party, and that he could some how work with her, he'd do it. but she has just been to damageing, and still hasn't stop damageing the party,or Obama!

Obama's suggestion that Novak's article should be saved "in case of toilet paper emergency" shows that he is thinking about the environment:

Reduce (can't do that too well, with Novak spouting off his mouth for a living)

Reuse (take article, fold four-layer-thick but with Novak photo facing up, bend over, wipe)

Recycle (well, maybe not....you want to destroy Novak's drivel instead)

If Obama chose Hilary as his VP I dont know if thats smart. I mean after all she has NOT been vetted this primary. Obama has been vetted his pastor has been vetted but Hilary has gotten a free ride. For her to be the VP she will need some serious vetting and soon so too will Bill Clinton. THe last thing Obama needs in the general is some scandal coming out about his VEEP. Thats not good. Plus I think the republicans would LOVE this Joint ticket. That should tell you its NOT a good idea its a disaster waiting to hpappen.

BUt I hope Obama vets her and husband BEFORE if he chose her.

Robert Novak, he who outed Valerie Plame, is now setting himself up as having the inside scoop on what Michelle Obama has to say? I noticed that the Drudge Report was running this hogwash too.
Somehow I don't think either of these men has the "inside scoop" on what is happening inside Senator Obama's Presidential campaign. I agree we should use this article for toilet paper.

Obama’s 1st leadership test is can he resist calls to take Hillary for VP. If Obama chooses Hillary, it will be one of the greatest acts of political cowardice and will prove that he has the spine of a jellyfish. Hillary’s campaign is a graduate seminar on the politics of personal destruction. Using fear-mongering and race-baiting, she has redefined gutter politics.
