Barbara Walters On Star Jones' Verbal Barbs: "Poor Woman"

Barbara Walters took to the airwaves Monday night to respond to recent comments by booted "View" co-host Star Jones. Walters said that she didn't really want to rehash the Star Jones imbroglio, but that Jones is certainly going through a tough time. She said she wished Jones well.

The former View host was quoted recently by the tabloid US Weekly as saying this of the legendary broadcaster:

It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character.

I find it strange that the MSM is giving Barbara Walters a "pass" on her adultress affair.It surely was wrong then as it is now. Miss Walters has no shame, the gall to announce that she helped destroy a marriage cannot be looked upon by anyone favorably.­She's a homewrecker and by her apperance she's proud of what she did. At this point bias by the media is so commonplace and transparent that it's almost laughable. They pick and choose who they will villanize and who gets a free pass regardless of how classless and lowlife he/she is. Barbara Walters is incredibly tacky. Barbara appeared on Larry (Zeiger) KIng because her ratings and the books sales are tanking. It was disgusting seeing her and Oprah kick up their heels at being adulterers who paid for their own cab rides home so as not to be whores. Their high fives for adultery will be legend.

It was short-sighted and naive (surprisingly!) that these two media darlings delude themselves into thinking that their audience-- after tucking their children into bed and kissing their husbands goodnight--will not think twice about CHAMPIONING ADULTERY and forsaking their own families.

Whatever Star Jones is, she is still quite perceptive.

I wonder if Barbara realized what she was getting into writing this book and doing a book tour with interviews? Call me naive but I don't think her generation gets the new gotcha 24/7 media machine that is in operation. She got her dig in, though.
