Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty Jokes His Wife Won't Have Sex With Him

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty is most likely in a lot of hot water today for a comment he made during a radio show. Pawlenty joked that he wished his wife's desire for him (in the carnal sense) was as intense as her love of fishing.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty spent the fishing opener with his wife, Mary Pawlenty, on Big Pelican Lake in Breezy Point, Minn.

If an aside uttered by Pawlenty on Mike Max's radio show on WCCO-AM is any indication, they may very well have spent their every waking moment fishing.

"I have a wife who genuinely loves to fish. I mean, she will take the lead and ask me to go out fishing, and joyfully comes here," the governor said before adding, "She loves football, she'll go to hockey games and, I jokingly say, 'Now, if I could only get her to have sex with me.'"

Do you really think that's the case, FirstShirt? I wonder ... especially after her on-air talk about when she experienced a severe attack of appendicitis, & said her husband wouldn't call 911 for her or take her immediately to the hospital (he had to, apparently, shower first while she was lying down in excrutiating pain, fearing she might die). If I had been in her shoes, I wouldn't have allowed him back into the house after that.

People who find such a labored attempt at humor funny (p aw lenty), have no business selecting posts for awards.

The guy made a joke, IT was probably funny in the context of the conversation. But the p-aw-lenty comment is not. The person making the word joke even gives you a chance to realise s/he is stupid prior to your reading the joke, that is to say, s/he prefaces the comment with:

"if his name is any indication."

But we all know that It simply isn't any indication. It never is.

But hey, maybe I am being too harsh.

It's just that, if you follow the train of thought for this guy (pawlenty, pawlenty...hmm, almost sounds and looks kind of like 'plenty.' Oh my god, that means that I can make a joke about the amount of sex he might get. Oh lord this is funny), it's really hard to find it worthy of a giggle.

Not convinced that it's not funny? Okay, let me try a different tack.

If the guy's name were truly "an indication" of the amount of ANYTHING he might get, then it would follow that he might, for instance, get pawlenty . . . of rejections for sex.

So the best that we can say, in all fairness, is that if his name is any indication, we still don't know squat, and that's just not very funny.
