People Magazine Mixes Up Koreans, Mistakes "Speed Racer" Star Karl Yune For Pop Star Rain

Apparently the editors of People have a bit of a problem differentiating between Asian males. On page 38 of this week's issue, in which an interview with Korean Speed Racer actor Karl Yune is accompanied by text identifying him as Korean pop star Rain.

Welcome to the world of: lack-of-diversity. I haven't been in the People office but I can guess what back ground about 95% of the staff has. I'm surprised this kind of mistake doesn't happen more often...

Hilarious. I googled Rain and they indeed don't look anything alike.

Similar to the actors who play DL & the Haitian on Heroes - they really don't look anything alike except for superficially both being tall black men, but apparently they're confused in magazines, websites, etc. all the time.

Yeah. If I had to guess, the interview is actually with Rain. They've just included the wrong picture.
