Watchdog Group: Clinton's Wealth Rose Fastest Among Lawmakers

Propelled by her husband's post-White House earnings, Sen. Hillary Clinton's average net worth soared from red ink to $30.7 million between 2000 and 2006, the fastest financial climb among members of Congress who arrived without assets, a watchdog group reported Tuesday.

Arizona Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, reported a $27.6 million surge in his and his wife's average worth from 1995 to 2006. Their worth rose over that 11-year period from an inflation-adjusted average of $8.9 million to $36.4 million, the ninth-biggest rise in Congress, the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation reported.

The Sunlight Foundation posted on its Web site the first-ever comparison of the 535 House and Senate members' latest available net worth with their earlier disclosure statements. The forms don't require any explanation for shifts of fortune.

I think politicians should start doing like sports figures have been doing for years. Wear their sponsorships on their sleeves. They could have it on their campaign buses and corporate supplied jets too. Hillary should have patches on her sleeves of her sponsers, Wal-Mart, Boeing, Lockheed, BlackWater, and so on. Let us at least know what corporations are going to be molding the policies during their presidency if elected. That would give us a better Idea of what the politicians views are than their pandering words. Knowing who actually owns them would really help a lot.
Then again, if McWar did it, his sleeves would be 30 feet long if he had to sew a patch on for each corporate owner of his butt.

- Over the past 6 years, the Clinton's received $15 Million from a company which represents the leader of the Muslim country Dubai (the same muslim country which was trying to buy 6 US Ports . Bill Clinton was found to have been counselling Dubai on how to handle Congress in regard to getting the sale to go through -- the sale was only killed last year by the U.S Congress, when citizens found out about it and were outraged that the Congress did not realize what a National Security risk it could be to sell U.S Ports to a muslim country). Seems the Clintons were more concerned about earning $15 million dollars from Dubai, than about the security risks posed by the sale of the ports to Dubai.
- The Clintons also received $1.2 million dollars of their money from China, guess what Bill Clinton was over there doing, promoting the CURRENT trade deal we have with China, you know the one that Obama, and Hillary, and every other democrat has been saying is unfair to the American people.
- $800,000 of the Clinton's money came from Columbia. Bill Clinton received the money from the Columbian government for promoting the same trade deal, every democrat, including Obama, and Hillary have been saying they are against.
