He recently told Ebony magazine that he sometimes leaves his socks on the floor. "As Michelle likes to say, 'You are a good man, but you are still a man.' She lets me know when I'm not acting right." But there are barriers to the public's right to know all about them. When it comes to fidelity in marriage, Michelle told Ebony that she doesn't worry about it. "That is between Barack and me," she said, "and if somebody can come between us, we didn't have much to begin with."

Whateever may be said about Obama he has acheieved a happy marriage in spite of the demands of careers and family...and while all of it is unfolding in the spotlight. THis alone made them worth a second look...I've yet to see that kind of love and admiration in a public couple....all we see is a parade of political men cheating on their wives fathering illegitimate children or seeking random sex in public stalls and then trotting their wives out to help them do penance.

THe character and integrity is in evidence with both Michelle and Obama....and the Love....they actually remind me of the Cosbys...only barack doesn't seem to be particularly funny.

Yeah for upbeat, loving, dynamic role modes in a marraige for our White House. How the Republicans kidnapped 'family values' is still beyond me. Barack Obama has the clarity, values and words to redefine the 'family value' frame. When we work together, even in our differences, we will survive!

Had Hillary read the quote above before the all primaries, she would be a nominee now. She should get rid of the pantsuit and dress like woman for once. I realize she wants to project a tough and sophisticated look, but the fact is she is a woman and running for a public office not for a CEO position in a company.

I am not trying to be cruel here - honestly - but the reason Hillary wears pantsuits is because she has legs the size of pillars. She is extremely bottom heavy and her legs are huge and shapeless. Just stating a fact

I don't know anything about fashion but I agree with you. I am looking at her right now in CNN. Like you, I am not trying to be cruel. Her bottom is really really big. She gained a lot of weight within a year. But I am not sure if the pantsuit is really appropriate for her figure. If anything, it shows off her extra wide bottom. Now I can understand why Bubba liked Cuban cigars.

Perhaps Michelle Obama is not white enough for your taste. Michelle Obama has a beautiful high cheekboned face, a a verfy fit body, very chic and creative in her attire. She takes good care of herself and her family. She lusts after her husband not power. She's witty, whimisical and very, very smart and very, very strong. She grew up in the hood, but decided to make something of herself. She puts her family first and their two daughters are beautiful and poised.

I could see Michelle, as first lady, tackling issues like childhood obesity, advocating for proper nutrition and diet; and leading by example: that a woman can be strong and smart and maintain her feminine grace. She's a real person, not a stepford wife like most of the first lady's we've had to endure.
