Lieberman: Bombing Iran Has A Certain Appeal To It

On right-winger Bill Bennett's radio show this morning, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) expressed his openess to bombing Iran, saying that there is "an appeal to it." Discussing the West Virginia primary results, Bennett praised what he claimed was Sen. Hillary Clinton's (D-NY) transformation into his "style" of politician, which he said is someone who "throws down a shot of liquor and bombs Iran."

Lieberman whole-heartedly endorsed the "appeal" of the hawkish caricature Bennett had created:

Assuming this is accurate, am I the only person who takes issue with this: the concept of members of Congress being a citizen of another country?

What a conflict of interest! What a problem that could pose, and it effects/clouds all objective thinking and judgement.

This is not isolated to Lieberman and Israel: I just don't believe ANY member of Congress should be a citizen of ANY other country .....

Although I wouldn't put the idea past Lieberman, I don't think this is right.

To become a citizens of Israel, and you are Jewish and born outside the country, I'm pretty sure you need to be Orthodox Jewish. Conservative and Reform Judaism isn't recognized as sufficient.
