Governor Ed Rendell's name has recently come up as a potential running mate for Barack Obama, but the Pennsylvania Governor said Wednesday, why settle for a Clinton supporter when you can have the real deal.

Rendell, who has encouraged the New York Senator to 'stay the course,' despite calls for her to end her campaign, said Wednesday she may not win the nomination -- but should be on the ticket either way.

I want Honest Opinions Regardless of Who You may Support.

What do You think Really about Chuck Hage becoming the VP for Obama ?
Do You think that this could truly bring All Sides Together ?

I personally have not yet formed an Opinion on this but I have heard Reports that He is a possible running mate.

I also think that we need someone with a Good Military Background , McINSANE's People will try to pull out the Fear Factor & say that Obama has No Experience . I really Hope that Obama condsiders Military Experience when He makes His Choice. McInsane cannot Run on ANYTHING else & If We have someone to Counter that it will be a Big Weight off Obama's Shoulders.

I currently Like Jim Webb but many say that He will not be chosen because of so called Womanizing , I know Webb has been Married 4 times but I also know that 1 of His Ex Wives Campaigned for Him when He was running for the Senate. Can anyone tell Me more about Webb's History on this matter ???

Don't Worry , She will Never get the VP spot. Obama will not bring someone so Divisive onto the Ticket. His whole Campaign has been about bringing People Together & Creating Real Change in Washington. She does not represent what Obama is all about. Relax Everyone , It's Almost Over.

Obama / Webb 08

There's been a lot of talk about old politics and new. But I don't think there is any politics in which the way to the vice presidency is doing your best to tear down the person picking the VP.

Rendell and Hillary overestimate the influence of the racist white vote or the ability of any VP to move these folks into Obama's column. I think Obama will win by a landslide in November, but he will do it with the west, the southwest, the northwest, the east coast (including states like Virginia and NC) and Mississippi river states like Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Missouri (though not Tennessee or Kentucky). My sense is that Obama has a better chance of taking Texas than of taking the last bastions of white racism.

His choice of VP should reflect this new majority.

Dream on, Ed. Not gonna happen. That's the one way Obama would lose. (Then again, leave it to Dems to figure out a way to screw it up.)

This kind of talk kills me. On the one hand, Hillary is touted as this tough fighter with 35 yrs. of political experience, ready to obliterate Iran and willing to tackle the ruthless vast right-wing; but when it comes to convincing her to bow out of this race, the Ed Rendells of the party get all sappy about her delicate sensibilities. Suddenly, it's everyone else's responsibility to protect her self-esteem, as well as reward her for gracing us with her candidacy. Knock it off, guys - and I DO MEAN GUYS. Hillary will be just fine without all of this coddling.

Rendell and McAullife are going to need a Clinton VP spot and pray for some pardons when the California trial of campaign fraud comes about.

Ah Ha Rendell you're screwed!

Why Hillary cannot be the VP nominee in her own words:

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002," Clinton says.

Not only did she dismiss Obama's stance against the Iraq war as minor, can you see the Republican campaign ads?? Obama's own VP thinks McCain has more experience and would make a better president!

Some Dems may have short memories but the Republicans are waiting for the opportunity to attack.

I don't care who Obama picks for VP, as long as he doesn't pick Hillary. That would not be a smart move on his part. Oh, and I don't want him to pick Loudmouth Rendell, either.

Obama shoudn't pick Hillary, or anyone who supported her candidacy.

In what universe does it make sense that a Clinton supporter should be his VP rather than someone who supported him all along?

Campaigns are when you build trust with your supporters...people who stick with you even when the Wrights and the bittergates come along. Why would he not choose one of those people? And why shouldn't he be entitled to?

Hillary is POISON - She is still a LIAR and vengeful - If Hillary's supporters want McCain let them vote against their own interests - If Obama loses, he's still young - Rendell should go back to his "whites won't vote for Obama" state - Mayor Nutter and Rendell are toast and will never be respected by blacks again - Had it not been for the blacks in Philadelphia, Rendell and Nutter would not be in their positions today - it's one thing to campaign on the issues, but Rendell and Hillary were divisive and came up with that "elitist" garbage just to hurt Obama -

bad choice - hillary has too much baggage to defend and the GOP already have her in the crosshairs to kill the democratic ticket should she be on it. They are already circulating two documentaries on the Clintons, and should she be on the ticket they will be updating their material to cover all of her SNAFU's over the past few months.
