Conyers On Rove: "We'll Hold Him In Contempt"

Just off the House floor today, the Crypt overheard House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers tell two other people: "We're closing in on Rove. Someone's got to kick his ass."

Asked a few minutes later for a more official explanation, Conyers told us that Rove has a week to appear before his committee. If he doesn't, said Conyers, "We'll do what any self-respecting committee would do. We'd hold him in contempt. Either that or go and have him arrested."

Several years ago the NY Times was reporting on a possible move in Congress that Conyers might have had to shepherd through committee, etc. The Times delicately pointed out that Conyers is viewed by his peers as "disorganized".

This moron John Conyers is getting so disliked in his district that he is having a hard time getting enough signatures to get on the Ballot in November. He married a young wife that gets in bar fights and pulled a gun on someone at a City Pension Board meeting. Monica Conyers was the 2nd leading votegetter for City Council, you can see why Detroit is in such bad shape, the voters are TERRIBLE, the keep electing crooks, like Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, complete idiots like Monica Conyers, and people with no skills, like former Motown singer Martha Reeves, of the Vandellas. John Conyers is also a crook, he used to shake down his office employees for some of their pay and make them do his wifes homework for school. I think John Conyers has held that seat for about 40 years and runs in a mostly black district, no chance for him to lose, what a pity for the city of Detroit.

When Obama becomes the Presdident, people will actually start ascending to important positions based on objective qualifications! If crookery is the test for determining who should be out of the Congressman, John Conyers will still be there while few Republican will remain. How many Republicans have been indicted or convicted for crimes within the last two years alone? I know it kills people like you that Blacks should hold any important positions in this United States of America.
