Anthony Pellicano, the ripped-from-a-pulp-novel private eye who made himself an indispensable fixer for Hollywood stars and moguls, was found guilty in federal court Thursday of racketeering, wiretapping and other charges.

The jury of eight men and four women deliberated nine days before finding Mr. Pellicano, 64, guilty of 76 of the 77 counts against him, mostly in connection with his extensive wiretapping operation, which he used to dig up dirt on business enemies and former spouses of his powerful clients.

So now wire tapping is a problem?

After checking for any ties between this Hollywood PI and the Clintons,
you can find almost 240,000 hits !!!

If the Clintons hired this PI to get the dirt on people and he dishes up
evidence to the prosecutors, they are in deep trouble.

No wonder they are so desperate to get back in the White House, they
have to have to pardon all the felons to stay out of prison !!!

HuffPost's summary, as usual, leaves out the most significant part of this NY Times article: " 'If the government has no plans to go higher than Pellicano, this is a depressingly pedestrian effort that shows a lack of ambition,' said John C. Coffee, a professor at Columbia Law School and an expert on white-collar crime." In other words, the jury convicted the wire-tapper, but the people who hired the wire-tapper were never even charged with the crimes they bought and paid for. So again, the low-level criminal goes to jail and the corporate executives who orchestrated his crime and for whose benefit it was committed, remain free.

Wow big surprise. And all this time Allison Hope Weiner wrote as if the feds didn't have a strong case. Yet every person I talked to in that room (including my self) thought they had a brilliant case and brilliant and strong it was...

Age of Enlightenment (the other person I see post on here who says they'll "never ever be found guilty" what do you think now!??! CAT GOT YOUR LIL TONGUE!?!?!?!?"

Puzzling... Why did Allison Hope Weiner miss the big "Convicted" announcement and toss this story to her old reporting partner Halbfinger at the New York Times? Was she snaked? Is she being muzzled?
