Mccain Unfit

Remember McCain's respectful campaign? He doesn't.

McCain has all but declared a President Obama would be unfit to defend the United States from -- as he puts it -- the transcendent challenge of our time (or in this case, a second-tier regional power). During a blogger conference call, McCain was asked about Obama's willingness to engage in diplomacy with Iran. He responded:

All I can say is: If Senator Obama wants to sit down across the table from the leader of a country that calls Israel a stinking corpse, and comes to New York and says they're gonna, quote, "wipe Israel off the map," what is it that he wants to talk about? What is it that he wants to talk about with him?

And the belief that somehow communications and positions and willingness to sit down and have serious negotiations need to be done in a face to face fashion as Senator Obama wants to do, which then enhances the prestige of a nation that's a sponsor of terrorists and is directly responsible for the deaths of brave young Americans, I think is an unacceptable position, and shows that Senator Obama does not have the knowledge, the experience, the background to make the kind of judgments that are necessary to preserve this nation's security.

The remarks come after this morning's round of attacks from Bush and McCain against Obama, comparing him to Nazi appeasers in the 1930s.

So, in conclusion, Obama is equal parts Neville Chamberlain and President to Hamas. And John McCain is a respectable maverick.

Remember McCain's respectful campaign? He doesn't. McCain has all but declared a President Obama would be unfit to defend the United States from -- as he puts it -- the transcendent challenge of our...

What kind of experience did Bush have ? If you surround people around you that know these things, he will be a great President. What does McCain have for experience other than being Bush's puppet ?

Exactly, he had none, and now we're looking to put Obama, another inexperienced pol, into the Oval Office?

We could not be that dumb.

So what does McCain have ? You have a President now, that won't listen to the truth and thinks he knows it all. Obama is a person that THINKS before he does something. Are you going to tell me that we should have someone as crazy as Bush in there again if we vote McCain in ? Don't understand your thinking, if that's what you call it. What experience does Hillary have other than her husband being the President. Out of the three, I'll take Obama over the other two.

HRC supporters apparently can be that dumb since their candidate has a whole 2 more years in the Senate that BHO. Oh, I forgot, HRC was President of her kindergarten class.

If experience is SO important, aren't you happy that Joe Biden is now the D nominee? Oh, I forgot,.....

McFlipFlop, on the other hand, WAS electable in 2000. Now, not so much. Unless you think we should dig up Strom Thurmond. Hey, he's dead BUT has even MORE experience than McFlipFlop! Experience is all that matters, right?

To Parkhurst. I beg to differ with you. You said putting another person in like Obama with no experience. You dumb ass people do not know that Obama was in the legislature for many years. Even if Obama had no experience at ALL he will make a great president. There is a difference between being DUMD and STUPID like Bush to Obama who is a very smart, intelligent man. George Bush showed you stupid people what experience will get you. He was suppose to have experience because he was the govenor of Texas for 8 years so that shows you what experience will get you. Bush will never be smart as Obama in 25 life times. So go on stupid people and vote for Mcain and when he really sticks it to you don't say a frigging thing.

McCain is more experience than any other candidate, in the Senate he has been on Indian Affairs, Transportation, Commererce, Science and Armed Servieces. Under his watch the morgage industry has gone belly up, the national debt out of sight, stem cell research eliminated, and for protecting the country under his watch: 168 dead Oklahoma City bombing, 2 dead Olympic bombing, 1st World Trade Center 6 dead and 1042 wounded, 2nd World Trade Center Bonbing 3000 dead, 17 dead U.S.S. Cole, 224 dead U.S. Military complex Saudi Arabia, Kenya Embassy bombing 224 dead, fighting terriorist in Iraq 4000 U.S. Militay dead, 500,00 Iraqis dead, 18,000 U.S. Servicemen wounded, another 300,000 PTS or low level brain injuries to U.S. Service men not reported nor covered under benifits, and the best preformance of all Katrina. This is the record of John McCai's experience.

THIS OLD FOOL HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN HIS SHRINKING BRAIN THAT HE HAS CHOSEN TO DROP OUTRAGEOUS FALSEHOOD. FROM NOW ON, THE GLOVES ARE OFF. McCAIN SHOULD BE EXPOSED FOR WHAT HE IS---- A FRAUD WHO TALKS FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE MOUTH.

THE GOP HAS CALCULATED THAT SINCE THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY REASONABLE IDEAS HOW TO RUN THIS COUNTRY, THEY WILL THROW THESE RED MEAT TO THE MSM SO THAT THEY WILL DISTRACT ENOUGH "GULLIBLE" VOTERS. I AM AS FOCUSED AS A RAZOR. McCAIN AND HIS DAMNED GOP WILL NOT ESCAPE MY VOTER WRATH.

This guy makes George look like a reasonable, sane human being -- and I used to think that was totally unimaginable!

That's what the frustrated owner of a 9 mpg SUV and a $350K ARM has, too: temper.

Don't underestimate the power of bigotry and stupidity, combined with frustration and a sense of entitlement, to elect a mad-dog President. "So McCain's mad? I AM TOO."

McCain can ride the rage better than Obama--whose name, color and background evoke a reflexive rage reaction all on their own, with no help needed from a tanking economy and soaring gas prices.

(Please note I do not endorse McCain. I do not endorse Obama. I think we're completely screwed, Republican or Democrat.)

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, THE TRUTH IS THE GREATEST ENEMY OF THE STATE." -- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

After 15 months of gratuitously vilifying Hillary and her supporters now you want us to close ranks and protect Obamas backside from the Republican attack machine? Sorry, that train has left the station. You should have been more civil for the last 15 months. I appreciate a good political donnybrook over issues, but that was not how the Obama campaign waged the battle. His campaign continues to this day here on HuffPo to be the most hate driven I've ever seen. I'm not inclined to help Obama after all the hate and venom his campaign dumped on Hillary 24/7. You burned your bridges now live with it.

afgail...Did Mr. Obama do anything rude to you? Did he sling mud and Mrs. Clinton? You are going to support McCain because you were offended by some folks who comment on a blog? I'm sorry you feel like you do, but if you are talking about angry, filled blog responses that clearly was 50/50 situation. However, if you/we end up with McCain I guess we get what we deserve. Obama ran the most respectable campaign of anyone in recent memory and you are going to place America in the hands of the a warmonger in spite? Ok, I hope in a couple of years that revenge still taste like apple pie.

There's no crying in politics.

Didn't Hillary say that "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen?" Now that she has lost, her supporters want to whine about being mistreated. Give me a break.

Cowboy up. Don't be such a cry baby.

So, rather than support your own self-interst, you'd rather support 4 more years of Bush policies? I guess you have done well over the last 7.5 years, your wealth has grown, you have discretionary income to spend as you wish, you don't mind paying more for basic needs and you have nobody you care about needlessly in harms way, right? You deserve the "hate" you claim to have been heaped upon you for the last 15 months!

Go Obama!

The problem for you sweetcheeks is that it isn't republicans who are doing this, it is Hillarycrats whom you and Obama have allienated. They wont vote for Obama because he WILL reward bad guys by talking to them when they threaten us or our allies. Obama cannot be trusted to lead this country. We need an adult in the White House, and if that isn't going to be Hillary, then we're left with one option - McClain.

That's just the way it is.

No - YOU think that's the way it is.

Obama has said repeatedly that he will use diplomacy, not appease.

All you're doing is repeating lies, the same as the Rove machine has been doing for the last 8 years+.

And by the way, what did Bush do with North Korea, if not appease? Of course, they only re-started their nuclear program after his "Axis of Evil" bullshit. Then we had to give them even more incentives than Clinton did to get them to stop.

I don't know what your political persuasion is, nor am I all that excited about the choices this year, but clearly the best possibility for change is Obama. Predicting what will happen if he gets elected is like, say, predicting what will happen after McCain's hypothetical first term in office . . .

To me that's just experience. Obama will get there. He needs to keep on message. The repugs are going to throw all sorts of nasty stuff at him and he can't instantly respond to everything. If he does he'll be a wreck by the time election finally rolls around. He got good help from senior party leaders on this yesterday. Nice to see. The campaign is on.

McCAIN'S FOREIGN POLICY INCLUDES WAR WITH RUSSIA, AND CHINA:

On March 26, 2008, McCain gave a speech on FOREIGN POLICY in Los Angeles that was billed as his most comprehensive statement on the subject. It contained within it the most radical idea put forward by a major candidate for the presidency in 25 years. Yet almost no one noticed. BIG SURPRISE!!!

In his speech McCain proposed that the United States expel Russia from the G8, the group of advanced industrial countries. Moscow was included in this body in the 1990s to recognize and reward it for peacefully ending the cold war on Western terms, dismantling the Soviet empire and withdrawing from large chunks of the old Russian Empire as well. McCain also proposed that the United States EXCLUDED China from the councils of power.

What McCain has announced is momentous"that the United States should adopt a policy of active exclusion and hostility toward two major global powers. It would reverse a decades-old bipartisan American policy of integrating these two countries into the global order, a policy that began under Richard Nixon (with Beijing) and continued under Ronald Reagan (with Moscow). It is a policy that would alienate many countries in Europe and Asia who would see it as an attempt by Washington to begin a new cold war.

I think the whole "Let's go on a debate tour together" thing is over. McCain has shown he lacks decorum and honor. That was just a ploy to nullify Obama's superior fundraising. Now Obama is gonna refuse to townhall debates and run McCain's numbers in the ground. By the time they do have those 2-3 scheduled moderated debates, McCain will be run ragged and will trip all over himself.

Sadly, this is true. The headline says he called him unfit, but the first sentence of the article says 'McCain has all but declared a President Obama would be unfit to defend the United States from...'. On the other hand, all Huffington is doing is implying that McCain's actual remarks:'Senator Obama does not have the knowledge, the experience, the background to make the kind of judgments that are necessary to preserve this nation's security,' are tantamount to saying he is unfit. Which seems true.
The thing is, Huffington goes mad when anyone in the Obama camp is not accurately quoted---to the 't', so it should live by its own law on that--and often doesn't.
