The Daily News has the curious connection - read the entire piece here or an excerpt below:

The dog that survived a fall - or a throw - from an upper West Side apartment is back with its owner, the ASPCA said Thursday.

The Jack Russell terrier broke both its front legs last week while its owner, a Secret Service agent, was working Jenna Bush's wedding, police sources said.

To julieSS.

Still waiting for an answer to this:

Publicly admit that anyone who accuses Obama to be a Muslim is a dirty racist liar who preys on people's bigotry and fear and you'll have my apologies.

so far...***CRICKETS***

If the Secret Service guy was in TX, who was in the apartment who could have thrown the dog? If there was no one, then implying a "throw" is irresponsible.

Well, which is it? Tossed or fell? And why is the dog back with its "owner" if its owner is unable or unwilling to keep it safe?

My 5-year-old collie mix graced my life when she was 9 weeks old, after being "tossed" from a car with plates from another state. There was a witness who couldn't get the plate number but did save the puppy. I named her "Boomer," and she is my best friend in the world.

Thirteen years before that, I adopted a 1-year-old Keeshond from the local shelter after the owner had been arrested for running a puppy mill. She had a stroke and died when she was 14.)

If people aren't willing to take care of and protect their pets, they shouldn't be allowed to have them. Then again, we can say the same about some parents out there, as well.

i guessed wrong -

thought dog tossing was probably just some kind of east texas trailer-trash wedding ritual...

"No animals were harmed in the production of this wedding. Never mind..."

KKKOnservatives are known to abuse both animals and people.

KKKonservatives can't help it--It's who they are.

So what is your excuse for PETA killing many animals in shelters?

The article said that the Secret Service agent who was left in charge of the dog has hired an attorney. I would hope that our Secret Service is not populated by people who toss animals out of windows. I sure don;t want that caliber of person protecting our President and his family.

i agree with you, if he did this he should be prosecuted.

On the brighter side, i know someone whose elderly dog was rescued by Cheney's Secret Service detail in Jackson, WY (actually closer to Wilson).

WHAT IS THAT JACK NICHOLSON MOVIE...

Where he plays an author who tosses a neighboring tenant's obnoxious pooch down the garbage chute? I can relate to that, having suffered more neighbors' yapping mutts than I care to think about....

As good as it gets, I think. Which is weird since he later adopts a neighbor's dog and falls in love with it. (Is it the same dog?)

It was "As Good As It Gets" and it was the same dog, which he is forced to look after while the neighbor is in hospital after a gay-bashing incident.

What a cute little dog! I love Jack Russells! I'm glad he's going to be okay. We can only hope that this will ome back to bite the guy that tossed this little cutey out the window!
