This frame grab taken from a video message carrying the logo of al-Qaida's production house as-Sahab and provided by IntelCenter, a U.S. government contractor monitoring al-Qaida messaging, shows a graphic used on the May 16, 2008, al-Qaeda's as-Sahab Media release of a new video featuring an audio statement from Osama bin Laden to the people of the West about Israel's 60th anniversary. It is the third statement from bin Laden to be released in 2008. There are no English subtitles. CAIRO, Egypt — Osama bin Laden released a new message on Sunday accusing Arab leaders of sacrificing the Palestinians and calling on Muslim militants in Egypt to help break the blockade of Gaza.

Bin Laden called Arab leaders "agents of the crusaders" and "wolves" in the audio message posted on an Islamic militant Web site where al-Qaida leaders have issued past statements. He portrayed the citizens of Arab nations as herds of sheep who have been handed over to the wolves to look after them.

"Every day, the herd wishes the wolves would stop preying on it," he said.

"Those (Arab) kings and leaders sacrificed Palestine and Al-Aqsa to keep their crowns. ... But we will not be relieved of this responsibility," bin Laden said.

Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem's Old City is one of the holiest sites for Muslims.

Al-Qaida leaders are increasingly using the Israeli-Arab conflict in their media campaign to rally supporters. Israel has warned of growing al-Qaida activity in Palestinian territories, although the terror network is not believed to have taken a strong role there so far.

The new audiotape comes just two days after bin Laden's last audio message was released, marking the 60th anniversary of Israel's foundation. He vowed to continue what he called his struggle against the Jewish state.

Israel and Egypt have closed their borders with Gaza since the Islamic militant group Hamas violently seized control of the Palestinian territory in June of last year.

The closure has deepened economic hardship in the impoverished strip where 1.4 million Palestinians live.

"Each one of us is responsible for the death of our vulnerable people in Gaza where scores have died because of the blockade," bin Laden said.

He urged Muslim militants in Egypt to try to end the closure.

"They are the only ones close to its borders and they must work on breaking this blockade," he said.

Yeah, imagine that. But if you point out that the Royal Saudis and the Bushies are tight with each other that is tinfoil hat territory.

Right, Major Kong ! Bhutto said during an interview with David Frost in England that Osama Bin Laden was murdered in 2002 and the killer was held in custody briefly and then released. That tape has been available on the internet for some time but it is being ignored. This is not some crackpot that was talking--she had been Prime Minister of Pakistan and was murdered when she returned to challenge the puppet ruler that the USA has been paying off for years.

Every time Bin Laden's name arises it is synonymous to me with Bush's failure to capture or kill him. it amazes me that more isn't made out of this. There should be bumper stickers everywhere reminding everyone how GWB continues to turn his back on our greatest terror threat.

Personally, I think Bin Laden died some time ago. His diabetes was a rare for that should have killed him now. Especially going without treatment up in the mountains of Afghanistan.

The Sunni tribes of Iraq (and especially the Shi'a Majority) have already had a belly-full of Al-Quaeda "leadership"! Now they expect to build a relationship with the Palestinians? Bull! - any "message" will be aimed at their few remaining followers in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Afganistan & Pakistan.
Nothing makes Al-Quaeda more unpopular than actually having some control!

Ya know. I often wonder how they can know when Bin Laden is going to put out a video taped message, and yet they are still unable to locate him. Why is that exactly?

Osama, a powerless fugitive. Who cares about his statement. The world events passed him by and Osama deathly afraid of becoming irrelevant. Too late.

LOL. Since we couldn't catch him, that's as good a line as any.

But, seriously, it is humiliating that after more than six years, the mightiest power ever to exist has not just failed to destroy al Qaeda, in fact al Qaeda has grown.

More importantly, by attacking Iraq and having been stuck there for five years, with no "victory" in sight, the world is now totally aware of the impotence of American military might.

Has Al Qaeda grown? I know, I know, they get blamed for everything that goes wrong, but that doesn't mean they're actually there. Seems to me that, apart from a taped message every two or three years, Al Qaeda Central has ceased to function. They're like the wolf: no threat anymore, but handy to scare the kids.

That's nice. One of the world's greatest assholes has decided to grace the Muslims with another message. It's a shame we in the West will have to hear whatever his fevered and twisted mind has come up with now. What a drag.

His fevered, twisted mind has fought us to a standoff in Bush's war in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Republicans have proven to be totally inept in dealing with that part of the world.

If I remember correctly, Osama's last post a few days ago stated that the 911 attack was because of our association with Israel. Israel, as we all know was created by the secular Zionist political party from Palsitianian lands in much the same manner that the United States was created from the lands of native Americans at the beginning of our nations birth. Critics today make the claim that "talking" with the enemy is a weakness and would not result in any meaningful progress. Yet our history tells us of the many talks we had with the "savages" and treaty's that resulted...

Synchronicity is the meaningful coincidence of seemingly unrelated events. Well, two days before 911, under the direction of a strong and wise leadership, the United States walked out of the African International COnference on race relations because of comments made against Israel. Remember that? What a different world it would have been if we would have "listened" to the talk instead of giving them the finger and walking out.

Interesting that Bush acts stupid in Israel, Obama/Clinton are looking better and all of a sudden an announcement from someone representing Osama Bin Laden..and now a message is due. I really have some serious doubts about this...the timing is always so suspect. Bush gets dissed by the Saudi's and then we hear from Osama's camp. What is that saying "something smells in Denmark". Fear tactic of course. I am so tired of this administration. So very tired of this campaign and very tired of wondering wher Bin Laden is and why is he still there. So very tired............
