This frame grab taken from a video message carrying the logo of al-Qaida's production house as-Sahab and provided by IntelCenter, a U.S. government contractor monitoring al-Qaida messaging, shows a graphic used on the May 16, 2008, al-Qaeda's as-Sahab Media release of a new video featuring an audio statement from Osama bin Laden to the people of the West about Israel's 60th anniversary. It is the third statement from bin Laden to be released in 2008. There are no English subtitles. CAIRO, Egypt — Osama bin Laden released a new message on Sunday accusing Arab leaders of sacrificing the Palestinians and calling on Muslim militants in Egypt to help break the blockade of Gaza.

Bin Laden called Arab leaders "agents of the crusaders" and "wolves" in the audio message posted on an Islamic militant Web site where al-Qaida leaders have issued past statements. He portrayed the citizens of Arab nations as herds of sheep who have been handed over to the wolves to look after them.

"Every day, the herd wishes the wolves would stop preying on it," he said.

"Those (Arab) kings and leaders sacrificed Palestine and Al-Aqsa to keep their crowns. ... But we will not be relieved of this responsibility," bin Laden said.

Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem's Old City is one of the holiest sites for Muslims.

Al-Qaida leaders are increasingly using the Israeli-Arab conflict in their media campaign to rally supporters. Israel has warned of growing al-Qaida activity in Palestinian territories, although the terror network is not believed to have taken a strong role there so far.

The new audiotape comes just two days after bin Laden's last audio message was released, marking the 60th anniversary of Israel's foundation. He vowed to continue what he called his struggle against the Jewish state.

Israel and Egypt have closed their borders with Gaza since the Islamic militant group Hamas violently seized control of the Palestinian territory in June of last year.

The closure has deepened economic hardship in the impoverished strip where 1.4 million Palestinians live.

"Each one of us is responsible for the death of our vulnerable people in Gaza where scores have died because of the blockade," bin Laden said.

He urged Muslim militants in Egypt to try to end the closure.

"They are the only ones close to its borders and they must work on breaking this blockade," he said.

It's deja vu, all over again! Wasn't bin Laden like non-existent for a couple of years between 2002 into 2004. And then a couple of months before the 2004 elections, he surfaced. Then disappeared again after Bush won?

Now here's the old boogey man rising again.

Seems the Republicans are trotting out the old tried and true message of fear again.

Let's see if the American populace has matured any...though I'm not holding my breath.

How many bin Ladens are there? Ever do an A-B comparisons of these guys? I count three so far. Hell, he keeps getting younger, stronger and his health is perfect. How friggen silly ... WHO buys this crap?

The guy died long ago. BushCo uses bin Laden as parents use Santa Claus for kiddy compliance in December.

Funny comment about Tim Osman. That was bin Laden's name when he lived in So CA and was allowed on every base in the state as a welcome guest. Think about this: We Americans are never told his life story nor of the extreme closeness of the Bush-bin Laden family. The one thing I was certain about early on ... NEVER ever would he be caught. He has been a tool of the NeoCons and should never be caught or die ... ever.

Who were the only folks protected and allowed to fly the day after 9-11?

Ah, the GOP's beloved arch-nemesis is back for another installment of "scare the folks". If they put as much effort into finding him as they do into making sure we stay afraid, neither would be necessary, but that's not the point, is it. It's election season and the GOP needs to trot out its only excuse for existing..

This is rather convenient for the fear mongering crowd. I find it odd that these messages are timed in such a manner.

Ya it does look pretty convient for the republicans don't it! Ben Laden isn't stupid! He wants to keep old bush/channey/Mccain in office to drain the United states of it Military and Financial Statis. So he must keep us in war in Iraq to do that. the Terrorist will win if Mccain/Bush stay in office. He gets a free ride while while we go broke/ and use up our military and become weak. this man was suppose to be in his seventy was he back in 98? That would make him 80 or more, and you really think a 80 year old man is hideing in some cave some where? This old man is in the lap of luxury, and laughing at Bush/Mccain trying to help them by carrying on depleteing our Military and Finance's for the next 8 years! It's time we say NO to terrorist, and fight a different kind of war. One justified and in the correct location.

Well certainly George Bush will find him:

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

...or will he??

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

Bin Laden, Kadafi, Saddam etc... they are (or were) far more valuable as symbolic enemies kept at arms length to justify the American military complex.

"One nation under God" has become "one nation under the gun."
How sad.

There is no such thing as Osama Bin Laden. He probably died many years ago. He is the bogie man under your bed. Turn on the lights and you won'd be afraid.

Look for Osama to endorse Obama.

Anything to keep the Republicans in power and in Iraq.

Yes I agree-even though it is Obama who has repeatedly said we need to go after him-I wouldn't be surprised if the Repugs have this tape of "Osama" endorsing "Obama" - I think he has been one of them all along.

Not exactly a good reminder of the failure of Bush's presidency, and not a good association for McCain.
