Senator Barack Obama has chosen to spend Tuesday night not in Kentucky or Oregon, the two states that will be holding their primaries that day, or even at his home in Chicago. Instead, Mr. Obama's staff announced on Saturday, he will be returning to Iowa, where he won the Democratic caucuses way back in January and has at least two good reasons to revisit now.

Much more than nostalgia seems to have motivated that decision. If things continue to go as well for Mr. Obama this week as they have so far this month, with a romp in North Carolina, a strong showing in Indiana and daily growth in his support among party superdelegates, he could actually end up with enough pledged delegates to proclaim, without fear of contradiction, that he is now the Democratic nominee for president.

Well, it is over for Hillary. She can't get the numbers. She needs to go home now.

All of us here in North Carolina, also known as Hillary's Graveyard, will be with you in Spirit, Barack.

We were proud to give you the primary victory that finally euthanized the "Hillary Belles" campaign.

HuffPo is blowing this one out of proportion. He is going to declare the pledge delegate win which he will have on Tuesday. That's his right.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Polls are mostly good for tracking trends and Oregon, with mail in ballots, is a bit unique.

You are relying on one poll which is the outlier. You can hang your hopes on that but half the Oregon voters already voted by mail.

Obama will say he has won a majority of the "bound" delegates "from the process" on Tuesday. It's really all you can count on - because you can't count on superdelegates until August. Superdelegates have already changed sides and until they have called the roll - you can't call them really and truly yours.

But this is premature.. Obama needs to wait for June 3rd. In the meantime he needs to go to Howard Dean and DNC and ask them to take Michigan and Florida back in the fold. They needed to be punished. They were punished - no one campaigned in their states - no one covered it. But the Dems need them in the fall and they need to be back in the fold BEFORE it's over.

Obama takes a ten delegate hit in Michigan and a 37 delegate hit in Florida. It raises the bar and means he isn't quite as close to winning. However, he can afford to take this damage and still be in the lead.

If Obama arranges to lead in this way- by using his own disadvantage and risk to unify - the super delegates will not be able to deny him. This will be very popular with them. Further - with Florida and Michigan settled and all of the primaries over - Clinton's candidacy wil have no place to hide and will only be able to win by convincing superdelegates to deny the process. And the superdelegates aren't buying Hillary - they

It is thrilling to see that Obama is going back to Iowa to proclaim that he is the nominee. After all, he won all those "white hard working "folks (98% whites) in the very first primary contest. I think he is sticking that above label right up the pundit's asses and Hillary's too. It also shows that he is going after, NOT RED STATES AND BLUE STATES, but the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

He is one smart guy and his campaign is one tough and smart bunch. For the people who like to bloviate about "how he has never managed anything", might I interject that he has run a multi million dollar "empire of campaign politics" very sucessfully.

Yes We Can and Yes We Will...............

For those who have been decieved by the Bush administration and the (R)Republicans that have TOED the line for him have a unique oportunity to pay them back. Do you have any idea the punishment/payback an Obama administration would present?
