Real Mccain

Ah, the power of Youtube. Robert Greenwald has put together another in his series: "The Real McCain" that demonstrates the Republican's tendency to prevaricate on big issues. Nothing like having your own words used against you:

During the 2000 elections, I had some respect for John McCain and was probably the only Republican worth voting for since Eisenhower. But after he let his own party 'Swift Boat' him and his family ( the slime they put on his kids was disgusting but typical Karl Rove)and then turn around and hug and kiss George Bush was absolutely pathetic. A real man, a military man, a war hero would have waited until their next meeting and knocked him on his ass. Do you really think Bush would have pressed charges? If it had gotten out to the public, everyone would have understood. And McCain has been going downhill ever since. I'm not sure why he wants to be President so bad that he would stoop to anything. I believe that like George Bush, he has some issues about being inferior to his father and must validate his manhood by becoming the all powerful commander-in-chief. But really, he should just go back to Arizona and start spending some of Cindy's money. The country would be much better off.

Should this guy even be allowed to drive, much less lead a country?

McWalkingCane needs to just go back to shuffleboard and playing bridge.

If this is the cream of the crop among the GOP I'd hate to see anything even slightly worse.

How terrible is this guy. Grandpa Simpson is not qualified to be President.

this is the man the GOP is qualified to be President - buwwaaahhhhaaahhhhaaaa.... doesn't even know what he quoted himself. Senility is a sad thing. Maybe he's been taking some of Cindy's drugs, and it's causing confusion.

He should be allowed to use a TV remote, but he will have access to the BUTTON.

As far as I'm concerned, McCain is simply not very bright, and never has been. He screwed up time and again as a legacy at Annapolis, as a naval flier, and even as a POW. He married into big bucks, moved to Arizona because that's where the bucks lived, and made a political career (and a very undistinguised one) from his status as a prisoner of war, of all things. He was also quickly corrupted (see Keating, et.al).

On the rare ocassions when he has actually been coherent, such as campaign finance reform and torture, he will turn on a dime for political expediency when necessary. McCain is a god awful speaker, mainly because he has nothing to say, and says it in a way that is impossible to understand.

If he wins out over Obama, which I expect, it will be because of race, pure and simple.

I do not expect him to win. But, I hear you.

I take exception that McCain "intentionally" lies.....lets face REALITY, McCain is just not that smart of a guy. Sure, I respect his honorable service to our country however, the question begs to be asked.....

We had two-terms of GWBush.........Don't we deserve someone to lead our country that is not intellectually challenged?

ANYONE but, McCain.

He is senile and there is no getting around it.
One only has to watch him for more than a few minutes. Except in the most controlled situations he always fouls up something. This man's mind is just not what it once was- which is not saying much. fifth from the bottom of his class at Annapolis! Pass over in the Navy. Never had a job other than the Navy and then working for his wife's brewery from whence he became a politician. How could this man be considered "of the people". He's an elitist who flies around in private airplanes, doesn't drive, loves the spotlight of his celebrity and on top of everything else obviously has a horrible temper.

This is a man who thought it was funny to make up a song about bombing Iran!! My God America wake UP!

The problem with these types of obvious presentations is the republican party in general doesn't care that he lies. They lie all over TV, every day. Its normal for them. To try and beat them by positioning them as a party with no integrity just doesn't work (because they seem to be proud of not having any). We need something else.

Agreed. It matters a whole lot to independents, though.

All the democratic candidate in a one on one debate with McCain has to do is provoke McCain into getting angry and that "My Friends" will not be very hard to do.

McCain is not a flip flopper he's a liar. The man has to be a liar or he can't remember what he says I'm not sure which is worse. Everyone of my uncles are vietnam vets and they say it would be a cold day in H*** before they'd vote for McCain.

Is it my imagination or does McCain have a growth on the lower left side of his face? It reminds me of film critic Roger Ebert's face shortly before he was diagnosed with throat cancer.

McCain has been fighting skin cancer for the last few years.
