Karl Rove Fox

Salon:

It has now been more than three months since Karl Rove first appeared on television as a Fox News political analyst on Feb 5. In no fewer than 57 appearances, he has increasingly been welcomed into the Fox News fraternity, even joking that the "Hannity & Colmes" show should be renamed the "Colmes & Rove" show. After departing from a Bush administration in political tatters last August, he has reemerged to hold forth at length on the 2008 presidential race. And he may have plenty of seasoned political wisdom to offer Fox's audience. Rove, however, is playing a strategic role that he and the network refuse to reveal to viewers.

Fox News hosts routinely introduce Rove as a "former senior advisor to President Bush," "the architect," a "political wizard" and a "famed political consultant." But never has he been introduced as he should be -- as an informal advisor and maxed-out donor to John McCain's presidential campaign.

To political news junkies, a disclosure of Rove's relationship to the McCain campaign may seem unnecessary. But whether the public simply assumes that Rove supports McCain isn't the point. The "most influential pundit" in America, as Fox likes to trumpet, should have to play by the same rules as other high-profile political analysts. For example, Paul Begala and James Carville are regularly identified as supporters of Hillary Clinton when they appear on CNN. But Rove has been able to act as an independent observer while criticizing Clinton and Barack Obama, McCain's likely general election opponent.

There is nothing shocking about Rove's attacking Democrats, of course. And his operating with a duplicitous air of independence probably isn't going to make or break Fox's claim to "fair and balanced" coverage. But will the greater public catch on?

Is the "obamanation" word supposed to be pro-Obama? If so, it is idiotic.

Well because he can be McCain's talking head and get paid by Fox at the same time.

Well duh.

Didn't we all expect Rove would advise whosever became the R nominee?

Although HRC seems willing to take his advice lately.

It's still hard for me to believe that the United States of America has a television news station that is a propaganda arm of the Government. As for Rove, I've heard that his special talent is that he is good in math. Fine, put him in an small office at the end of the hall and give him a bunch of numbers to work with, but don't make him a central participant in the government or media. Hannity and such confuse the ability to manipulate numbers and develop devious plans with Wisdom and Insight into the human condition.

You're exactly correct. Karl Rove is a "brain" only because he devises illegal, dishonest and immoral strategies to attain a goal. He can't operate honestly in an honest world because he is incompetent. He couldn't even compete well enough to get a college degree. His does know the base reptilian mind of people better than most. That's because he's a sociopath - no conscience. He reads people very well and he knows to what type of lies and manipulation they'll respond.

That he's now devising schemes for the aging McCain is no more surprising than him devising schemes for the supremely incompetent Bush.

What's funny though, is that this time, I think Rove may have underestimated the intelligence of the American people. I fully believe McCain and the republicans will lose in the elections. That is, if the elections are held and if they are legal.

Let We The People remind the "party of family values" of their own performance record:

http://www.armchairsubversive.org

"Family values" like the locals in THE HILLS HAVE EYES.

Karl "Goebbels" Rove has been the staunchest champion of the "Greedy Old Perverts," and should be publicly denounced as such at every opportunity.

Again, McFlipFlop shows lack of judgment by engaging someone like Rove in his campaign, who presently is being investigated by the Office of Special Counsel. All these "old heads" need to go. They are so conditioned to under-handed ways of doing politics that they are a disgrace and the American people have reached a new level in what we expect from our leaders. George Bush has awaken us to the conclusion that there has to be a better way that this.....

Rove jumped the shark long ago. He's washed up. A has been. He's also a failure. I sure wouldn't want to be called the "architect" of the fiasco we are embroiled in.

Watch how wrong Karl is from now on. I will personally guarantee McCain is stomped in November and the Democrats gain seats in the House and Senate. No matter how hard Rove cheerleads on Fox.

Think about it. On Fox Rove is preaching to the choir. The 29% ers. The Failure Monkey Brigade.

He isn't doing any damage at all to Democrats that 's for sure. Not that he could anyway. He's all hat and no saddle as they say.

The interesting thing about karma and universal justice is that this little pig-of-a-man will eventually get his. 200 years ago Rove would have been hung as a traitor along with about a dozen others, including Bush and Cheney. Today, well, we'll just have to wait because justice ALWAYS prevails.

When has karl Rove ever told the truth, and for that matter when has Fox ever told the truth. The are all right wing political hacks. Karl rove should be in jail. I do Hope Congress has his arrested for the contempt that Rove has shown to anybody but the War mongering members of the Republican party, including McCain.
