If that photo doesn't capture love, I'm at a loss as to what does.
Their smiles are so similar, and heartwarming.
II don't particularly care for the smart a** remark by Crowley. I'm sure he has visited his grandfather grave many times unannounced to the media. You suck Crowley.
Lighter note: He looks dead on his grandpa as an adult as well. Sweet pic of the two.
Obama has chosen not to serve the country in the military.
. . . as did Dick Cheney and, for all practical purposes, George W. Bush. Personally, I proudly served in the military for 30 years, including two wars, and I resent the false patriotism of those who insinuate that those who have served our country in ways other than the military are somehow lesser Americans. Obama has the potential to help America regain its footing. If he can do that, he will have served his country quite well, indeed.
I am a Persian Gulf war vet and I couldn't agree with you more TXMusicman. Well Said.
At least he isn't a draft dodger! He didn't use college as an excuse to get a deferment. He didn't have a rich daddy to help him get in the Reserves. You don't have to join the military to serve your country. Helping those in need in your community is service to your country.
That's okay, McCain said it's perfectly okay to choose not to serve.
So far he is not a chickenhawk playing with other people's blood.
Last time I heard about who military service men and women support Obama was number two after Ron Paul.
Let me inform you that Billy boy Clinton did not either.
Mccain is delusional just like bush...REp

Great picture. Obama resembles his grand dad. Too cute.
Obama looks like his granddad.
Karen karen and Siren. Yes, I too, think that Obama *favors* his *white* grandparents and his mother especially. But, I have not seen a picture of Dad. Someone, please, post one. Obama was cute, and he is still cute. Now, but is he bringing us all together, no divisions, no red states, no blue states, not this race or color, nor that. I do not think so. He appears to have a very divisive effect, certainly in this campaign. True, true, his groupies are posting most of the comment. Fact is, however, that the Bama has not spoken out, anywhere, that I know of, please correct me, against all the vitriol and divisiveness. On the contrary, suits him just fine, it appears. Obama wants us not to judge him on is appearance, but on his policies. And THAT is exactly what I am waiting to hear from him about. Cute, yes, but I am not marrying him! I may be sending him to Office to *get somn' dun" for a change. What is the Bama going to do and how is he going to do it? Granpa was in the military? Hm, and my *huhband* was a neurosurgeon, and that qualifies for Office....
Lovely picture of Obama and grandpa. Salve for a time of division
Obama has his granfather's smile. How nice!
that s a great photo,Barack has his grandpa s face...
Wow! he looks just like his grandpa.
I would love to have known both his grandparents and his mother. They must have been unusually enlightened people for the time.
Yes, Obama's mom had to be very progressive and forward thinking. She was truly ahead of her times in many ways. She was an intellectual and being of mixed heritage was not easy for him. I know. So he was blessed to have a mom with the insights and openmindedness that she could instill in him.
I love this picture of them so much. It makes my heart warm that he had a male role model that loved him for much. Barack is a good and decent human being that never brings himself down by attacking anyone on a personal level. He has the capacity to see ALL Americans as equal without it being a cliche.
Obama's ancestery dates right back to the founding members of this country. Christopher Columbus Clark, a decorated Union soldier, was Obama's great-grea
Obama's grandfather was the only father Obama knew, so if Obama wants to visit his grandpas grave, he has every right to do that, whenever he wants.
Exactly realtalk. You get it.
