So sweet...thanks for the link...I definitely see the family resemblance!
Too bad grandpa was married to his cracker grandma.
Get lost.
whoever wrote this is a coward and try to stir up division. a black person did not wroie this! troll somewhere else.
Sen. Obama is the one who labeled her-or don't you listen to his oratorical brilliance?
Obama is a lucky child loved by his grandfather. My little adopted son (Asian origin) was not allowed to meet his white German grandfather who also "denounced, rejected, disinherited" his own son for the adoption. Acceptable skin color was defined by countries north of Italy.
The world is racist but there is hope and change because there are people like Obama...
Good post, Nostalgia.
I actually think much of the USA is not all that racist, with a few glaring exceptions.
I think...
Yes, We CAN.
I think people in the US is the most generous and accepting of others than any other first world nation maybe with a few exceptions. Go to Japan and see how many Japanese couple would adopt a colored child. I bet it will be zero.
I'm sorry to hear that....but there are more wonderful people out there who care not of your skin color.....have some hope...common decency will prevail....
I wasn't aware Obama would be visiting the site on memorial day. If that is the case, I see no down side. : ^ )
And one thing...he sure don't look like some "angry Black kid that hates whites" !
GREAT PHOTO! Happy times...
Look at the JOY in their faces...I wish he was alive to see how far his Grandson has come and what an amazing Person he is, bringing hope and change to a hungry World...AND to tell some Folks to "GO TO HELL" for challenging HIS GRANSONS patriotism!
I will be watching this for his visit and speech at Punchbowl....
My son, who's now 13, had a ginormous head like Obama in the picture, when he was a little boy. Cute pic, though!
Aww I see where he gets the ears from :-)
I hope the cameras aren't too intrusive when he goes.
it will only make her work harder. she is so threatened by his whole persona and charissma.
Cynical comments questioning Senator Obama's motives for visiting his grandfather's grave show a lack respect for HISTORY and TRADITION. It will be Memorial Day and visiting one's deceased relative, especially one who had served, is part of the America I know.
It's no wonder we have Bush II based on these cynical comments. It's also no wonder that our military personnel feel underappreciated and recruitment has dwindled if this is how the AMERICAN people show their patriotism with their cynicism and disrespect.
Voters who base their decision on the basis of a flag pin versus support for the New GI Bill are the ultimate hypocrites. Your votes will seal America's global decline.
I know his granddad and mom are smiling on him. They did a good job. Can you imagine what it is like for him to not have them at this time. If only to talk to and lean on when times get hard. From what I've read, his mom was a renaissance woman, doing things way before time. Great picture.
This picture is so sweet!
Put a smile on my face first thing this morning.
