Excuse me..... I don't think you will find the flood of gay couples flocking to Calif. to get married, only to return home to their home state and be treated like 2nd class citizens again. Right now, the only people getting married in California, will be Californians.

When States saw how much revenue gambling afforded they quickly tossed aside their "moral" indignations and began cashing in. Now that the prospect of Gay Marriage becoming an economic stimulus with corresponding possibilities for tax revenues a "Gay Marriage Gap" may be perceived and other States will jump on the bandwagon. Let's hope that our Gay friends will get the blessings of all of our States, both Liberal and incredibly stupid. We should think of it in terms of a Gay stimulus package. This would be a much better idea than Bush's stimulus package, we don't have to borrow the money from China and spend it at Wal Mart.

No, if you hadn't heard California is billions in the whole due to all the crazy government services they offer . . . they need all the cash they can get.

He was so against it before, What happened? I guess he now speaks like a good republican, if it is good for the economy is good enough for me!...like the built up of all those prisons I guess...then again, he is more on the moderate side and his wife might have something to do with his change of stance.

There are economic multipliers associated with marriage. Insurance, housing, interior furnishings (gays love that!), household related consumerism, etc. etc. Once the stability of marriage is available, people are more willing to make investments that reinforce that stability.

If you look at the gay neighborhoods in your community (if you haven't hounded them away with your bigotry), you'll see that the streets are clean, houses are painted, gardens are manicured. Some of the most beautiful houses in San Francisco are in predominantly gay areas. Over the past 25 years some of the blighted neighborhoods have been rejuvenated, and are quite beautiful.

Wow, just think of all the new business for all the divorce lawyers in the next few years.
That will jump start the economy.

Gay people tend to be wealthier, harder working, and better educated than the average American. If Ohio doesn't want them, it's their loss.

Anyway, California divorce lawyers are already fully employed due to the oversupply of failed straight marriages. That sector of the economy doesn't require a jump start.

What does "wealthier, harder working and better educated" have to do with one's ability to keep a marriage together? I have two gay family members and other than their sexual preference, they are no different than anybody else. I wouldn't be suprised if in the future, same sex marriages have the same divorce rate as regular marriage. We are all humans.

So, what are you waiting for?
Let the gay marriages begin Arnold.
You don't have to wait 30 days.
The law was unconstitutional.
They can start now.
