Bloomberg:

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn said Barack Obama would be a ``terrible'' U.S. president whose election would bring higher interest rates and a loss of international confidence in the dollar.

``I don't normally get involved in politics, but this time I am,'' Icahn told an investors conference in New York last night. ``I don't think Obama really understands economics.''

The Illinois senator is the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama has 1,962 delegates, according to an Associated Press tally, putting him 64 delegates shy of the 2,026 needed to clinch the nomination.

``I personally think he would be a terrible president,'' Icahn, 72, said. Obama would probably go on a ``huge spending spree'' that ``the country can't afford right now.''

I wonder why Warren Buffet endorsed Obama? Maybe Carl Icahn has ties to war profiteering in Iraq and is afraid he will lose money when Obama ends the war.

And Ichan is a source that anyone in a correct state of mind would listen to? This is a guy who whores out companies and jobs for pure self profit. He is not a leader of anything but how to be a criminal and not get caught.

I remember Carl Icahn as the man who took over TWA and ran it straight into the ground enriching himself in the process. Not surprisingly, the employees and nearly everyone else involved with the airline got screwed. The fact he's against Obama is a likely a good indication that Obama is the right candidate for the vast majority of Americans.

I bet Icahn did extremely well these past 8 years. Hey, if I was a billionaire, I'd want McCain cutting my taxes, and lessening regulations too.

Carl Icahn--a terrible billionare. Billionare? How about a 99% tax on everything over $100 million? Any social-darwinist worth his salt would see that as just. Theoretically you can remove the swag of those superior people and because they are superior they will find the where-with-all to create as much wealth as they lose, and then some.

It doesn't take a billionaire investor to realize that borrow-and-spend Republicans are far worst for the dollar and interest rates than tax-and-spend Democrats. Unless John McCain is willing to drastically cut defense and/or Medicare, the Democrats have the more sound economic policy.

No matter who follows Bush, the exact same scenario awaits them. If Obama or Hillary get elected, icahn's afraid the citizens will stop paying for his ride on the gravy train and he might have to get out to push it himself.

That's your opinion Carl but Warren Buffet doesn't agree with you. And he could buy your *ss with his chump change. So carry on raiding retirees of their pensions plans you ghoul.

He said "would bring higher interest rates and a loss of international confidence in the dollar.:

There is a loss of confidence in the U.S. dollar right now and it is because super low interest rates have devalued to dollar, thus raising prices.

Beware of these profit driven business elitists telling you how to vote. They want the status quo of Bush/McCain (war profiteering, depleting the treasury for their interests).
