Longtime uber-lobbyist Charles R. Black Jr. is John McCain's man in Washington, a political maestro who is hoping to guide his friend, the senator from Arizona, to the presidency this November.

But for half a decade in the 1980s, Black was also Jonas Savimbi's man in the capital city. His lobbying firm received millions from the brutal Angolan guerrilla leader and took advantage of Black's contacts in Congress and the White House.

It will be impossible for anyone to untangle this incestuous mess; this IS Washington, and not merely a cancer waiting to be excised. Actual policy is conducted in venues unaffected by those quaint creatures known as "voters", and increasingly contemptuous of national boundaries.
I just hope that whoever gets elected, doesn't find themself in over their heads when reformation meets reality.

The John McCain Candidacy - Corruption, Inc.

He can go on SNL, Ellen and portray himself as Mr. Nice Guy but he is the epitome of the Beltway Corruption that needs to be ushered out.

Wait until the Democrats begin on him in the general election. He's had a free ride and what has he done? Purge his campaign of all the bad characters he had in it. He has had this headstart and Ed Rollins, a Republican strategist, has said he has done nothing.

Watch, I predict he will lose his temper when Obama points out all his gaffes and corruption and this will turn into a nasty campaign. I also predict we'll see a different Obama in the general, with both gloves off and without his hands tied behind his back against fellow Dems.

It does not stop there McCain got legislation passed that benefited Blacks clients and McCain interceded on behalf of government contracts for arms and military equipment that went to Jonas Savimbi's troops.
McCain is not the chior boy that the republicans and McCain's buddies in the main stream media portray him as.

and yet the slew of oil lobbyists, pharmaceutical lobbyists, and insurance company lobbyists who work for obama go unmentioned ( like shapiro, hulburt, demers, mercado, just to name a few of the many lobbyist employed by senator obama).

This looks like somebody bought themselves a "maverick" Senator. These people are terrorists... and this is the worst of all judgment calls.

How can McCain stand in front of anyone and assert any position regarding terrorist in the world. He has a PAID terrorist supporter managing his campaign.

This is as low as you can get......

I keep hoping these stories about the Republicans will turn out to be a book, a novel, because the corruptness just couldn't be real. I just don't understand how these people look themselves in the mirror and think they've done a good job each day. Sell out the United States and your fellow Americans for money and power. Now, isn't Elizabeth Dole up for re-election this year? How much will stories like this harm her and other Reps running for office?
