Josh Brolin has a vice president.

Richard Dreyfuss could soon make the trip to Oliver Stone's White House, entering final negotiations to play Dick Cheney in the provcateur director's upcoming "W."

The role is the last major position in the Bush administration to be filled; the West Wing is already occupied by the likes of Brolin (President Bush) Thandie Newton (Condoleezza Rice) and Elizabeth Banks (Laura Bush).

The 60-year-old Dreyfuss has never played a U.S. leader, but has had a few related roles. He starred as an opposition senator to Michael Douglas' commander in chief in 1995's "The American President," as Alexander Haig in a television movie about Ronald Reagan and played the president of a banana republic in the 1980s comedy "Moon Over Parador."

Richard Dreyfuss is such a good actor I'm afraid that he will injure his spine warping himself into the Skettis Cheney-shape.

I am simply stunned that this drivel will even be produced. 1. A far left Director who literally believes that Fidel Castro is a heroic figure. 2. A cast with, from top to bottom, extremely liberal activist actors.

Does the intellectually void Democratic Party really believe that this will be anything but a cinimatic hit job.

People... you disgrace yourselves.

Typical load of crap from people who do not like to take responsibility or be accountable for their actions. Bush is the worst president ever in US history and this story should be documented.

The problem is people like you don't mind Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity telling outrageous lies or covering up blatant abuse of public office. But you get your panties in a wad when someone does something remotely close to exposing the truth, which in this case, highlights the weaknesses of the current state of the Republican party.

Go ahead and be an apologists for the neocon Republicans if you wish. Any person that would believe the BS of the neo nuts is out to lunch anyway.

I kind of hate to see an actor I have liked since "American Graffiti" play someone I consider to be the epitome of American Corporacy's own special brand of Evil.

Dreyfuss is a perfect choice. He plays a great arrogant, full-of-himself SOB.

Couldn't Cheney find a bigger hat? One that covers his snarl and rests on his shoulders would be perfect. Who could sit and listen to this liar drone on and on? Who is responsible for getting them the speech appointments? I would not attend for any of them in this administration.

Could be either the best casting or worst casting of all time. I'd like to see Dreyfuss pull it off but I wonder if he can even THINK mean enough.
