As Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign comes to a close, the chattering class is already speculating about what's next for her. Much of the buzz, of course, focuses on the pros and cons of becoming Barack Obama's running mate. But another long-shot possibility is beginning to get some ink: an appointment to the Supreme Court.

"I certainly think that Senator Obama's inclination to look for people of broad experience, people whose deepest values and whose empathy with others makes them wise human beings as well as expert lawyers, would mean he wouldn't rule out people such as Senator Clinton just because they don't have judicial experience," said Laurence Tribe, a constitutional law expert at the Harvard Law School who is advising Obama's campaign.

"Hell hath no fury, like that of a woman scorned."

Would you put a woman scorned in this position?

Just imagine another Gore/Bush 2000 moment or worse?

Sorry, too dangerous.

Clinton has taken Kentucky and Obama is right there in Oregon.
The Democratic race for nomination is still very much alive " and most likely to be decided by superdelegates " as CNN points out clearly

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/20/primary.wrap/index.html

If you"re tired of waiting around for those super delegates to make a decision already, go to LobbyDelegates.com and push them to support Clinton or Obama

If you haven't done so yet, please write a message to each of your state's superdelegates at http://www.lobbydelegates.com

Obama Supporters:

Sending a note to current Obama supporters lets them know it's appreciated, sending a note to current Clinton supporters can hopefully sway them to change their vote to Obama, and sending a note to the uncommitted folks will hopefully sway them to vote for Obama. It's that easy...

Clinton Supporters too ¦. !

It takes a moment, but what's a few minutes now worth to get Clinton in office?! Those are really worth !

Sending a note to current Clinton supporters lets them know it's appreciated, sending a note to current Obama supporters can hopefully sway them to change their vote to Clinton, and sending a note to the uncommitted folks will hopefully sway them to vote for Clinton. It's that easy...

The word "between" was cut off after the word "forget".

Out of the question. This is the woman who demands that the Michigan delegation be seated in full, but only if Obama gets zero delegates. As far as I'm concerned, that's automatic disqualification for any job involving fairness or justice. I don't want her going anywhere near our Constitution.

Besides, Hillary has her work cut out for her in the Senate. She has promised the people of Guam and Puerto Rico that she will pass a Constitutional Amendment giving them the right to vote in national elections. That's going to take many years' worth of effort, and I'm sure she's good for her word, right?

Good Lord , NO! Let her work to get re-elected to the Senate and see if she can actually pass a bill that live up to her own self-promotion. I don't think she has the judgement or temperment to be on the SCOTUS.

Oh, yes, please, somebody get her a job where she can do perhaps some good but will shut her up. She'd make a fine justice. She's brilliant and her ruthless presidential ambition would be finally tapped out...and she could sit back and just ponder ways to help others. She has so many fine qualities that have been lost by her compulsive ugly behavior in trying to get the job she's been planning for decades. There's good in everyone, including Hillary, and once she's accepted her situation she'll get an opportunity to be the blessing to this country she knows she can be, it just won't be as president or VP, or in a Cabinet.

Certainly not. We know her much better now.

After her Bobby Kennedy statement and then her revisionist op-ed piece in the NY Daily News on it, never have her on the bench.

How can a (sniper) LIAR be on the supreme court - please someone tell me why anyone would think Hillary has one ounce of credibility -

Hillary On the Bench? She is too vindictive and revengeful.
She really hate AA and will get her revenge.

She would stay in the news because she will be working diligently to overthrow every "civil rights law" on the books. She would bring back slavery to greater heights before 1760. Count on it.

I don't see how she could survive the confirmation process with the baggage she has.

No, I don't think she would make a good justice. John Edwards is a more suitable candidate for this.

After super Tuesday, I thought that Sebelius would make Vice President and Hillary would make Supreme Court. Today, no way. She has proven with her lies, willingness to cheat, moving goal post after post. She can not be fair and show justice. Her failure with the bar makes me question more about her. She had better try to keep her senate job.

Hillary Clinton on the Supreme Court? Are you serious? OH HELL NO!!!! Supreme Court Justices more than any others in government are expected to act according to rules, removed from partisan squables, with an unshakable sense of integrity, moral fortitude, and intellectual honesty. How could anyone with an Ivy League law degree be less qualified for Supreme Court Justice than Hillary Clinton?
