Lieberman

There's one less Democrat listening to Sen. Joe Lieberman. Rabbi Ethan Tucker, the senator's step son, offered up his opinion on the difficulties facing Obama in reaching out to the Jewish community:

Tucker, 32, the biological son of Lieberman's wife, Hadassah, opines that an age split is apparent within the Jewish community in attitudes about Obama (as has also been shown in the overall Democratic constituency). Tucker, as paraphrased by reporter Jodi Kantor, asserts that younger Jews "have grown up in diverse settings and are therefore less likely to be troubled by Mr. Obama's associations than their elders."

So where does Rabbi Tucker fall on Obama, whose foreign policy bona fides were bashed by his stepfather in a recent editorial? Actually, he's backing Obama. Apparently, Obama's associations aren't a problem for him:

"Rabbi Tucker said he had given money to Mr. Obama and would vote for him in the fall. 'If association was the litmus test of identity, everyone would be a hopeless mishmash of confusion, or you'd have no friends,' he said."

Speaking of damaging associations, I wonder how Rabbi Tucker feels about Lieberman's high praise for Reverend "Hitler was doing God's work" Hagee:

(A must-see moment: Lieberman likens Hagee to Moses!)

I wonder if Tucker lives in CT and voted for Ned Lamont in the 2006 primary.

Lieberman is no friend of israel. His politics are oriented around the Neocons views, which simply use israel as a means of threatening other middle eastern countries in service of US hegemony. Lieberman might actually care a little about Israel, but he certainly does not want peace there.

I do not hear Lieberman decrying the settlements, which inspire so much terrorism against both Isreal and the US. Rather, He, Like other neocons, hopes that the settlements and occupation carry on inspiring violence, because that is how he can justify further wars and aggression agaisnt otherwise non threatening Middle eastern nations.

The neocons (Lieberman included) need to be shown the door ASAP, and it's very heartening that his own son has seen the light.

Go Obama.

Thank god for the younger generation. They don't fear religious, race, or gender differences.

Indazone, Bravo. They're the folk who got us out of Vietnam. It's the old folk who are fearful.

If there is a silver lining to Al Gore's loss in 2000, is that Joe Lieberman never got to be Vice President.

Rabbi Tucker, we completely understand. You can pick your friends, you can pick your candidate, but you can't pick your family.

Rabbi, thank you. I am one of the 'older' generation and pray that voter from the age 10 to 45 turn out in November in droves - no matter who gets your vote - VOTE!

I have supported Sen. Obama from his announcement day. In my 'older' generation's mind Obama is the only candidate that has the potential to bring security (security defind in numerous ways) for my 3 lovely grandkids. Obama also has the potential to bring peace to God's universe.....peace from war, peace for His land, wind, and air. Thank you again from this Granny.

You know somrthing I ma so revered that Lieberman's stepson has seen the light...this race is not about familyties, color, race, creed or wealth. This young man is smart and we are proud of him and accepts him inour fold....we will many more jews, catholis(I am one) , and maybe white hard working americans. God bless Senatoe Clinton for reminding Whites who they were voting for and why we should still be divided!! At least tyhe Republicans do not pretend to like BLACKS!!! The good old Democratic party that pretends to have a wide tent to hold everone and every race? Well this was a test..and look how well we did...the Clintons want to be in the white house for themselves and thats it...more than ever it is shown today when she had the BALLS to talk about ASSASSINATION again for the 3rd time!!! I am appaled that her suppoers are not appaled and outraged...if this was the reverse this country would be screming for OBAMa's head...did you guys see howe all the white reporters on every channel was trying to cover for her, despite them playing how they did not like her...good for EUGENE ROBINSON from the WP....he should be outraged after he kept silent for so long!!! Enough stupid , cult like followers of the CLintons,,what more proof you need to show that these people are SICK!!!!

I just wrote to Senator Obama and asked him not to choose Clinton to be his running mate. I hope other Obama supporters who agree that that would be a horrendous decision will also write to him.

I'm angry at MSNBC's caption I saw today: "Increasing Calls For Clinton To Be Obama's VP." Talk about hyped-up nonsense. Calls from Bill Clinton and other desperate supporters who are still trying to show they have leverage. Such madness!

After what Clinton said to today about RFK, I can't imagine Hillary could still be considered for VP.

A Rabbi supports a white black man.
Youth embrace diversity.
How come the earth has not stopped spinning?
So much for the wisdom of our elders on this one.
