Bill Clinton: "Never Seen A Candidate Treated So Disrespectfully Just For Running"

ABC News' Sarah Amos reports: Former President Bill Clinton in South Dakota today delivered a harsh critique of how his wife has been treated during her presidential bid, telling the crowd that he has "never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running," and that, "she will win the general election if you nominate her. They're just trying to make sure you don't."

Clinton spent more than six minutes calmly discussing what he called a "frantic effort to push her out" of this race, saying that no one asked Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson or Gary Hart to end their presidential campaigns early.

Clinton also spoke against bullying superdelegates to make up their minds, saying, "I cant believe it. It is just frantic the way they are trying to push and pressure and bully all these superdelegates to come out. 'Oh, this is so terrible: The people they want her. Oh, this is so terrible: She is winning the general election, and he is not. Oh my goodness, we have to cover this up.'"

During all of their years in the WH, the Clintons made the accusation that there was a vast right-wing conspiracy against them. Now they are crying foul again, this time about some sort of intra-Democratic conspiracy against Hillary. This is just getting too old and too predictable!

That the Republicans won both the Congress and presidency during and after Clinton is no accident. WJC was seen as intellectually astute, but morally corrupt (perjured himself, philandered, etc), and when time came we swung away from that. We installed Bush because, though he was perceived to be less than intellectually curious, he was seen as possessing a very strong moral compass. Now we have seen that this moral compass too can be broken and lead in the wrong, very wrong direction. Americans are no dummies, so we have begun to undo our doing by bringing back Democrats into the Congress.

As for me, I just want the past gone. No more Clintons, no more McCain whose sole source of political guidance seems to stem from his years as a POW. I want fresh ideas, fresh perspective, fresh attitude, someone fresh with both intellectual astuteness and moral fortitude.

And this is debatable? We spent weeks trashing Hillary on Bosnia Gate. Over the weekend, Obama said he had an uncle that helped liberate Auschwitz, presumably to connect or pander to another couple of groups he neglected while playing only to the left wing base. Just where is all the outrage in the media? Nary a day gone by for weeks where we did not hear about Bosnia 24/7.

It seems acceptable today for media to be in the tank for their candidate, but to actively campaign, ignore facts, overlook lies and spin? Amazing. Where is Obamas apology directly to the people he lied to? Talking heads can BS all they want. Where is the leader?

This is why they are so bothered about this. They know that she will win the GE if she can just get past the primary because that's why the GOP fastracked McNutjob so quickly, and that's why Bush is hugging and cooing at him. They know that McCain can't win, the agreement was that Hillary will win (because that's what they assured them), and then cruise in the GE. It was a dynastic agreement. Then Hillary, just like Bill, will sweep all the war crimes under the rug, slap a few wrists, let the Bush Crime Cabal off easy, and continue the neocon foreign policy.

Unfortunately, this upstart Obama is ruining everything, and the GOP is worried about their tactical misstep. Why else is Hillary so bent on staying in. She knows that she will win, and can't stand Obama standing in the way.

The struggle in this election is between the dynastic ambitions of the power elite vs. the democratic voice of the people. The people are standing in the way of absolute power that is absolutely corrupted.

And its driving them nuts.

Obama has GE (General Electric, owners of MSNBC, NBC already won, one of the biggest corporations and polluters ever) won over. Clinton would be better for the GE (General Election), to help fix all the crap that Obamas biggest supporter is doing to screw the country but good this time around).

Just imagine how much money all of the free advertising Obama has gotten from NBC and MSNBC would cost if he had to buy it. If he wins the election, GE will get a payback that will make the Bush theft of our treasury look like a piggy bank. In addition, all that payback will be on our dime. Later will figure out how much the Health Care lobby will cost us, as well as the Foreign Relations mess that is unavoidable with such a cavalier and naive leader.
