Phoenix Business Journal:

A Tuesday fundraiser headlined by President Bush for U.S. Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign is being moved out of the Phoenix Convention Center.

Sources familiar with the situation said the Bush-McCain event was not selling enough tickets to fill the Convention Center space, and that there were concerns about more anti-war protesters showing up outside the venue than attending the fundraiser inside.

McCain...you there?...you think we didn't notice your opposition to the GI bill on the grounds that it was too expensive?

You think we didn't notice the Congressional Budget Office's prediction that shows Webb's bill would have no net loss (16% increase in attrition, 16% new enrollment) due to an increase in benefits ?

You think that those of us with family members serving in the military agree to waiting 12 years before being eligible to maximum benefits under your and Graham's bill?

You think that we don't know about transferability of benefits under Webb's bill?

You think we didn't notice that you had no bill to offer until days before Memorial Day?

You think increasing Americans' competitive edge by equipping them with an education isn't a good investment economic investment?

Oh, that's right, the economy isn't your thing (your words)--except when it comes to catching a piece of for yourself from the failed savings and loan institutions.

And lastly, you don't really think we have confidence in you handling the war, do you?

I don't understand campaign finance at all. There is a $2600 limit and yet people can give $25,000 at a fund-raiser and more. The laws are apparently complete BS.

Of course they are. McCain reformed them.

They only way 80,000 people would show up to see Bush in person would be a public tar and feathering.

The Outrageous Lies of McCain sideshow will continue, a dripping red herring for the pelicans to cackle and fight over.

Watch for a vote against McCain to be characterized simultaneously as a vote against Our Elders, a vote against Our Soldiers, a vote against Our People, a vote against Our Religion, and a vote against Our Party. How dare you!

Watch for appeals to party loyalty mixed with fear and a hard bone of bigotry. If you choose Obama over McCain--sorry, you're not One Of Us. And there could be consequences.

Meanwhile, after two elections of soft vote fraud, CheneyCo is quietly planning for some hard-fisted hard-wired vote fraud for this one. Count on it. Third time's the charm.

I wonder where all the republican trolls are on this blog?

So sorry Mac that your big fundraiser with the Worst President of the United States is not going well. You still have Graham, Liebermann, Cornyn to buddy up with. Remember those names when it comes to re-election time.

Cornyn in TX has been Bush's lap dog for eight long years. I would love to see him kicked out of the nice comfortable seat he occupies. Liebermann what can you say about him, Conn voters must realize the mistake they made and I won't add salt to the wound.
Graham is a complete nut job , needs to go. There are more.

Someone needs to make a long list of the supporters of Bush/McCain and post it on here. Come election time , the people of the US need to slam these guys right out of office.

"A White House official said the event was being moved because the McCain campaign prefers private fundraisers"

These people are pathological liars!
I know that's a real revelation.

My wife and I spent this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Phoenix and the surrounding areas looking for a home. In our travels through Glendale, Scottsdale, Peoria, Litchfield, Gilbert, Chandler, Paradise Valley, and Waddell, I can honestly say that we did not see one "McCain 08" sticker on the back of any car or posted in any windows of homes or businesses. However, I did see some Ron Paul, Hillary and Obama stickers. I found this strange considering that Arizona is the state McCain represents in the senate.
It appears that nobody is buying tickets to get onto the "Straight Talking Express."

Driving through Orange County, CA, I saw one or two McCain stickers. Even in the Republican bastion of Orange County, I saw more Obama and Clinton stickers than McCain stickers. I sure hope that that is an indication of how the election will go.

The only news that could have made me happier, would have been Hillary Clinton Concedes.

It's a beautiful day in America, thank you Phoenix for honoring our Troops!

Does anyone think they are even worried about this? Does it tell them anything or are they oblivious?

Scene: Bush and McCain standing in front of the empty Phoenix Convention Center.
Beads of sweat trickle down their drawn, red faces. Both mop foreheads with handkerchieves.

GWB: "Ah guess everbodyz gone on vucashun aroun this tam'a yur."

JMc: (as Ed McMahon): "You are correct, sir!"

GWB: "Thass right. Ah am tha Decider, Johnny Mac. Shur feelz hawt."

JMc: "How hot is it?"

GWB: "Not az hawt az yur gonna feel when yew luze tha 'lection!"

JMc: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

GWB: "ZING!"

stage direction: GWB soft-shoes off out of sight. JMc stands there looking puzzled.

The End (sorry)

I would love to see Bush in a setting where there is not a selected crowd. What does that say about the president of the United States when he can't even face the general public. The man is a coward and the sleaziest chicken in the history of the United States.
