Phoenix Business Journal:

A Tuesday fundraiser headlined by President Bush for U.S. Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign is being moved out of the Phoenix Convention Center.

Sources familiar with the situation said the Bush-McCain event was not selling enough tickets to fill the Convention Center space, and that there were concerns about more anti-war protesters showing up outside the venue than attending the fundraiser inside.

It is our duty to OBSERVE and facilitate the voting process this November so that we repeat the sucesses of '06. If we turn out enough voters the GOP can't steal this one...

I am beginning to think that Sen John McCain is not going to be as strong as a candidate as some would like you to believe. Once the Democrats Primary is over and the focus is put on the General Election a think a lot of flaws in Sen McCain will be exposed.

More secrecy. A way to hide the millions given by a handful of rich bastards who will stop at nothing to keep a repuke in the White House so the special interests keep on being special and funneling money into the already over-running pockets of themselves and whatever chosen few they want.

Be very careful. The rethugs are masters at getting votes switched. This is how we got saddled with bushit in 2004, when nearly 4,000 votes were cast for him in a district in Ohio that had fewer than 700 registered voters. The supreme court has become a laughable travesty, loaded with repuke nominees who have no conscience about proving their loyalty for their fat, life-long jobs rather than adhering to the rule of law. Expect more of the same and many new dirty tricks to make it look like mcinsane won. PAPER BALLOTS! It will provide much-needed jobs in this country to count them.

This is f-ing hilarious! McCain can't get enough people to show up for a fundraiser in Phoenix, ARIZONA - he is THEIR senator. He prefers events at people's homes? There must be some pretty large houses in the Phoenix area if those are supposed to equate to a convention center.

McCain latest show is a box office flop. Not that many folks with a spare $1000 in Arizona these days I guess, with the housing slump, bad economy, jobs moved to overseas factories, etc. My friends this is going to be wonderful election and our chance to pay back the idiots who have nearly ruined our country by electing Obama and giving him the supermajority in Congress so we can rapidly change things for the better.

First, for those who say McCain does not have a chance, do not underestimate the threat. He must be stopped, but you can not do it by underestimating him. Read more on this guy and you should alway view him as a threat, even when he is down. You must never drop your guard. He knows how to manipulate the media, he has big money and special interests, and he has no moral compass. You think Hillary was tough, McCain will make her look soft. McCain's trick is to do this through surrogates and then disclaim them. At least Hillary did her own dirty work. McCain runs out sacrificial soldiers. Point - never underestimate McCain.

Second, it is great to see the public weakness displayed. Why would anyone support McCain, Republican or Democrat? He brings the worst aspects of both parties. But again, never underestimate the Manchurian candidate.

OMG!!! I've been calling him the Manchurian candidate too!!! And I agree 100% with you none...who in their right mind would have thought Dub would win the second time? They bought us a prez twice now....think they can't or won't do it again? Be careful..........

I look at the picture of Bush and McCain and think of all our soldiers, dead, maimed physically and mentally, AND YES..the Iraqis too, and these two creeps vote against a veterans bill because its too "generous"...too generous to those who had their time extended again and again...too "generous" for those that came back crippled for life....as these creeps give "private contractors" BILLIONS upon BILLIONS without any oversight..without flinching an eye....
SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the fact that the majority of Americans Agree with you is the reason the goper twins had to cancel their fundraiser

Wait! The HuffPo had an article within the last 2 days stating that it was official McCain campaign policy to move these events to smaller, private homes so that the media would not be able to get pictures of McCain and W. together. It seems as if the HuffPo has bought the McCain campaign spin - now McCain can rake in W.'s money without anyone paying attention, since the fundraiser has been "cancelled" (i.e. moved to a private residence where he can still rake in the dough but avoid scrutiny). This is no victory!

Prove it. That's only what the news article today said.

Kinda hard to "spin" the fact that McCian scedualed a PUBLIC fundraiser that had to be cancelled b ecause PROTESTERS FAR OUTNUMBERED DONNARS

I thought that article said that that was the spin that the McCain campaign was putting on this debacle...that Bush liked big arenas and McCain campaign preferred smaller private places. My reading was that was a cover story for how badly the campaign is doing raising money.

I love the way they want to thwart the idea of any protest against their war policies, though. Bush only shows up to speak at places where there is no possiblilty that he will have to hear or see protesters. Looks like old John is on the same page. Even though we are" winning", of course.

They are not selling Ha HA HA this is hillarious. Where are their rich buddies that they gave all those nice tax breaks too they should have more than enough money to come out and support their continuing tax cuts.

What idiots. If Mccain wins in November there is something fundamentally WRONG with the American people.

This story provides two GIANT hints for McNuts:

1.) Having Bush campaign for you is about as dumb as it gets.
2.) You haven't got a prayer against Obama.

But Bush is "Mr. Political Capital!" ~vomit~ He's still in huge demand! ~puke~ Just not on THIS planet.

Bush raised 48 million in three days for the RNC, in Feb 08. The core republican fat cats owe Bush. Those same donors do not like McCain.

This is just the beginning, a good fund raising venue for Bush/McCain should be Iraq. The Green Zone is a perfect location, the oil money from from Iraq oil field will flow in...There might be some insugents outside the greenzone, but I bet there will no American staging a peacefull desmonstrations with placards...

Funny how HuffPo just had a blog about how McCain was raking in the dough from millionaires. When they max out, we'll hear the whining.

Me, I hope that McCain's natural constituents pump millions - even billions - of their ill-gotten gains into McCain's Presidential run.

That is about the only way you can get them to allow any of their vast gains from decades of Republican lies to "trickle down" here in America - by sending them on a hopeless goose chase for more...
