Hillary On Rfk

Washington Post:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign accused Sen. Barack Obama's campaign of fanning a controversy over her describing the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy late in the 1968 Democratic primary as one reason she is continuing to run for the presidency.

"The Obama campaign ... tried to take these words out of context," Clinton campaign chairman Terence R. McAuliffe said on "Fox News Sunday." "She was making a point merely about the time line."

The issue is particularly sensitive given longstanding concerns about Obama's safety as a presidential candidate. (He first received Secret Service protection last May.) The Obama campaign called Clinton's words unfortunate and circulated a TV commentary criticizing them, although Obama himself said Saturday that he took Clinton at her word that she meant no harm.

I don't think Hillary really "get's it". She is living in bizzaro land. How can anyone put themselves through such a spectacle like this? She is determined to divide the party...for what? Another run in 4 years? Think about it...why didn't the Clinton's get on the Kerry bandwagon? Because this run was pre-planned ( or in the very least...greatly anticipated) when Kerry was running against Bush. It's almost like she is saying...you people just don't understand that I am the rightful heiress to The White House.
If she were ever to get in...which she won't...it would be absolute chaos...get out while you still have a political career HRC. Times a'wastin'.

HRC should stop blaming BO and focus on where the real blame lies, with those pesky voters in Iowa.

You know, Iowa, smack dab in the center of the heartland, where she came in THIRD.

The beginning of the end.

A cautionary history lesson.

The Southern Manifesto was a document written in February-March 1956 by legislators in the United States Congress opposed to racial integration in public places. The manifesto was signed by 101 politicians from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. The document was largely drawn up to counter the landmark Supreme Court 1954 ruling Brown v. Board of Education, which integrated public schools.

MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE
Walter F. George – Democrat – Guy who actually read the Manifesto into the record.
Richard B. Russell, Democrat
John Stennis, Democrat
Sam J. Elvin, Jr., Then-Democrat
Strom Thurmond, Democrat
Harry F. Byrd, Democrat
Willis Robertson, Democrat
John L. McClellan, Democrat
Allen J. Ellender, Democrat
Russell B. Long, Democrat
Lister Hill, Democrat
James O. Eastland, Democrat
W. Kerr Scott, Democrat
John Sparkman, Democrat
Olin D. Johnston, Democrat
Marion Price Daniel, Democrat
J.William Fulbright, Democrat
George A. Smathers Democrat
Spessard Lindsay Holland.Democrat

Oh, and ABC’s Cokie Roberts dad also signed the Southern Manifesto. So did Bill Clinton’s mentor, J. William Fulbright.
All but two of the signers of the Southern Manifesto were democrats. African American voters should really consider becoming swing voters.

You could use your own history lesson. This was before the great political shift between Republicans and Democrats during the Sixties when racist southern voters abandon the Democratic Party after it embraced a platform of Civil Rights.

oh, and guess what? the times they are a changin'. we are evolving as a society (albeit by fits and starts) and there is a subpopulation of human beings who are capable of growth and awareness. but your point is well taken. just because someone calls himself a "Democrat" does not make it so. Democrats of all colors need to decide what we want our party to be, and choose our leaders of character who share that vision and our goals. no more DINOs. And if the Republicans return to the way they used to be in terms of fiscal responsibility, and start being more inclusive and concerning themselves with helping to build a better country instead of padding their own bank acounts, I would consider it voting for one. i guess the republican party needs to decide what it wants to be, too.

Blame obama for mentioning the "CODED" message of RFK assasination 2 times! Once ion March and then in May..plus mentioning RFK 2 other times but without the word "assasination". There is something definitely about this encrypted-esoteric and Masinic like doublespeak. This is a pattern of something.

Let's not forget that a key witness was supposed to testify before the Clinton Whitewater case...and that winess died SOMEHOW! And more witnesses were intmidated or killed while Clinton was govenor in arkansas. If the other Kenneday doesn't think something is wrong with this type of stuff it goes to show how we have become immune to such barbaric measures.

With this election..the world is waking up and finding that THe Whiteman is a DEVIL and will stop at nothing to get results!

I certainly hope that I as a Caucasian am not lumped into the Whiteman as a devil. I do not think you believe that I am. But a term like "the political machine often ran by Caucasian more often than not" or something else might help get a clearer understanding of your message. I just don't like it when any statement groups an entire group as having the same attitude. I know that is a problem that I have. But I would call someone who said the Blackman was such and such. People are different despite having some superficial commonality such as race, gender, etc.

I know my words are clumsy, but I hope I was able to convey the essence of my message.

All of us together will help recover from the many mistakes our nation has made over many years. we are all Americans. It is our duty to look our for each and every one of our citizens, and of course call out those that go against this philosophy.

he's likely a TROLL. one big tipoff is that like the clintons and other republicans, trolls are anxious to get people worked up, they resort to two-dimensional portrayals, stereotypical caricatures intended to incite fear, anger, hostility, division. it's best to ignore them.

I am a black man who volunteers with "placed-at-risk" youth, has studied black nationalism, has studied racism from leading experts of the subject, has been racially discriminated against, deftly understands masonry, and understands the history and systematic spread of white supremacy in theory and reality... with all that said...

I think THIS, is one of the dumbest comments I have ever read on Huffington Post.

I love you brother, but, we can't just rely on Barack to bring change. We've got to hold ourselves to the standards of change in which he speaks. Hillary and Bill, have employed some questionable tactics, and yes... they're white... but, so are MOST of Obama's supporters, and MOST of the politicians who have endorsed and believed in him as do you and I. Many other well intentioned intelligent people support Hillary and Bill & are represented by a wide range of the human spectrum.

"The white man is the devil" is philosophically equal to the hate that you're lashing out against. We might as well put you in Appalachia to match wits with people who think Obama is a terrorist Muslim while simultaneously a radical Christian that wants to take away their guns while they cling to them. Me, you, them, WE are all buying $4 gas and facing many other crises in America and have to solve these problems TOGETHER. Enough with the inter-American xenophobia! Let's just, do better.

Change is a Challenge, not an event
Let's Challenge ourselves.

Democrats are getting worse
They won't obey their betters
They just want to blog and curse!

George S.: Should we blame the government?

Terry M.: Or blame society?

Bill: Or should we blame the talking heads on TV?

Hillary: No, blame Obama!

Everyone: Blame Obama!

Hillary: With his beady Muslim eyes
And not repeating all my lies

Everyone: Blame Obama! Blame Obama!

But now when I see her she tells me to fuck myself!

Hillary: Well, blame Obama

Everyone: Blame Obama!

Hillary: It seems that everything's gone wrong
Since Obama came along

Everyone: Blame Obama, Blame Obama!

Should we blame his fire?
Or the DNC who allowed her to expire?

Everyone: Blame Obama, Blame Obama!

Sheila: With all his honesty hullabaloo

Bill: And that bitch Michelle too
Everyone: Blame Obama
Shame on Obama!

The change we must stop
The votes we must trash
The future that's come
Must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before somebody thinks of blaming uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus!!!!

Doesn't look like the blame game is getting her very far. They rolled the dice with the "A-bomb" but it was a double-edge sword and her camp just happened to get "cut" deeper than they counted on. Now I seriously think that her and Bill need to be very careful with this game that they have been playing because there is some very dubious stuff to be found in their collective past. The MSM have been really gracious to her but I don't think either of them want anyone to shine anything brighter than a flashlight on their past shenanigans.

Well, OF COURSE it's Obama's fault! (Lord knows, it's NEVER Clinton's fault and that's why she's never actually apologized for anything.) Here're *some* of the reasons it's Obama's fault:

1. Obama has shown he is sexist merely by running against her in the first place. Didn't he realize that it's a woman's turn, regardless of who might be best qualified?

2. Obama (who might still secretly be an evil Muslim - just ask Faux News) didn't cravenly cave in in the face of her 'inevitability' being confirmed by her crushingly large 7500 vote win in NH.

3. Obama physically forced her to say that thing about assassination (and more than once!) and now is reaping the benefits of her having done so. Tell me that's not another sexist plot!

4. Obama, being an elite, privileged, black man, never had to endure the indignities and overcome the obstacles that Clinton has. In his life he has encountered just one open door after another.

Just think in five days this FL and MI crap will be decided. In nine days the SD's will flood to Obama. All that will be left will be Hillary's pathetic arguments. But I guess that's pretty much what we have now anyway. Let's see how long it will take the MSM to admit the nominating process is over with. Let's see how much whining and finger pointing Hillary will do.

twin:
I don't buy it. I think HRC is still in it until she's got it (she'll never win it).

I think... if the DNC rules and bylaws committee don't sit FL and MI in full, as it, will all delegates getting a full vote, HRC will absolutely take this to the convention for a fight (knowing that we'll lose in Nov. and she'll try again in 2012).

The only way to acquiesce and prevent that is to seat them all. If BO has the delegates he should tell them to move this week before the committee meets. After his pickups this weekend he needs about 84 more plus the remaining delegates he'll receive from the remaining primaries and he'll make the 2210. This would remove any last argument HRC has and then we can get going full force with the GE.
