Clinton Camp Stokes RFK Controversy By Blaming Obama

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign accused Sen. Barack Obama's campaign of fanning a controversy over her describing the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy late in the 1968 Democratic primary as one reason she is continuing to run for the presidency.

"The Obama campaign ... tried to take these words out of context," Clinton campaign chairman Terence R. McAuliffe said on "Fox News Sunday." "She was making a point merely about the time line."

The issue is particularly sensitive given longstanding concerns about Obama's safety as a presidential candidate. (He first received Secret Service protection last May.) The Obama campaign called Clinton's words unfortunate and circulated a TV commentary criticizing them, although Obama himself said Saturday that he took Clinton at her word that she meant no harm.

I honestly don't know how the Clinton campaign can recover from Friday's attack by the Obama campaign.

They called her use of RFK's assassination "unfortunate". Unfortunate? Isn’t calling a statement “unfortunate’ an ad hominem attack?

Of all the things they could have called Hillary's RFK's assassination remark; they went with the personal attack of calling her statement “unfortunate”.

I think so.
Let's all agree, Obama supporters and any observer who feels Hillary's conduct is no longer tolerable, to make one unified statement.
Whenever you see a comment that supports Hillary by applying her magical math to the delegate count, defending one of her suspect public remarks or agitating bridges of unity and progress by attributing various outcomes to sexism or racism (i,e, Hillary's behind in the race because the media was clearly misogynistic throughout and favorable to Obama because he's black or Obama can't win the white vote like she can because he's black or saying she doesn't think there has been any racism in the campaign, you get the picture) post a comment that says "ENUFF". For everybody that wants more positivity, whether you like Obama or not, and everybody who has had ENUFF of not getting it, post "ENUFF"!

Actually, the majority of these "Hillary" supporters are Operation Chaos Repugs posing as Hillary supporters.

It would be a mistake to allow these weasels' hatred and mental deficiencies to be seen as reflective of most Hillary supporters.

Here's the solution:

One week from tomorrow, the Dem primary will end, the SDs will come off the fence to validate the people's choice (they've been holding off so as not to be seen as preempting the people's choice) and Obama will be over the 2026 and be declared as the winner.

Then, we come together as Dems and put the primary behind us. Just be patient, one more week and the conflict will be disarmed.

There's something wrong here. Bill and Hill want this WAY too bad to be destroying their collective reputations. We might not find out what it is until much much later but I'm willing to bet it's something wicked.

Part of it is the California Court Case, their both involved in.....for campaign fraud. This is only the 100th time, but, this one is calling in many witness's including Ed Rendell, Chelsea, hollywood nuts. All at a campaign finance deal that Clinton's did not pay back...$2 mill. worth. Believe me, I think they want the Clinton's on a platter, hope they get it. DNC managed to get a hold' on this court case to November 08. I'm not sure, but I think, if she's in power, instead of jail time, could be just a fine.

Part of it is, in case you haven't noticed, over the last few month's, states/federal have intervened and taken this to court to get voter Id and voter fraud eliminated. This was done after Texas, because of complaints of voter fraud.

Also, their donars have dried up because, officials are watching their campaign donations very close because of the times Bill and Hillary Clinton have not declared their income.

This is part of the irrational thinking going on. They thought they were above the law. Now the law is looking for them, hot and heavy.

I've thought this myself. It is possible that they will endure a short-term assassinat­ion---sorr­y, it's the only word that seems to fit here--- of their characters simply because they plan to redeem themselves later on. But how would they do that? Well, if, just suppose, they had something on Obama that they haven't spilled yet. Some story they think many will believe, even if it's not true. Then when they do spill it, they will be redeemed---or so they think. This is what sacres me, this being willing to take these awful hits and have their legacies consigned to the sewer, all to stay in a race that seems lost to them. I just wonder what they are up to. They could start a rumor about Obama, say, at the convention, and how would he have time to dispel it? Look how long it took him to quiet down the Jeremiah Wright thing. Weeks and weeks. But the convention lasts only 3 or 4 days.

Between this and Zimbabwe and Seneca Falls and the Civil Rights movement and Bill's deranged comments this weekend, the Clinton campaign really is starting to sound deranged. Prior to this, I just thought she was campaigning negatively and determined to win at all costs -- which remains true -- but now I see that they've collectively lost their sanity. They can't see the forest through the trees, they can't see how they're embarrassing themselves, and McAuliffe and Wolfson aren't being responsible by enabling this.

What a self-immolating, humiliating way to lose.

I'm mortified, humiliated, and ashamed for them. Talk about sore losers. Really. It's surrealistic. America is witness to this insane spectacle and nobody's stepping in to clean up the mess. Where are her true supporters, the ones who really have maintained objectivity, and sanity but still care about her? If nothing else, shouldn't they be counseling her that her behavior, the behavior of Bill, and the behavior of McAuliffe/Wolfson have just been been too hyperbolic for words? Where's somebody counseling her that she should apologize, even if she doesn't want to, just for the sake of political expediency and saving her own skin?

Months ago, people speculated that the Clintons wouldn't care about the damage to their reputation. Others assured the rest of us that they wouldn't be so stupid. Well, they're being so stupid. My mouth is agape, both literally and figuratively.

Many people don't know this, but Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton, have had the same players in her campaign since college. Hillary mastered debating. That was her niche', Bill mastered saying whatever he thought the people wanted to hear. They are Professional debater's, liars, hatchetmen, schemers, theives etc., They have spent their entire college and post college life running for office. So, they know all the nuances, play them, pile on, dirty trick's, etc.,

Many new, young voter's, or voters that never took an interest, do not know the history, behind these two. Never were they good in office. What troubles me is her antisocial behavior. If she's paid any attention to the outrage over her remarks, she has to know that Obama has already had many death threats made against him and that invoking the spectre of assassination just makes for a more worrisome time for Obama and his secret service detail. But, in her typically antisocial way, she basically says, "I don't owe him an apology because I didn't mean him any harm." If she made a remark that had serious potential ramifications for her husband or her daughter and they were upset by it or - worse yet - potentially endangered by it, would she not feel that she owed them an apology even though the remarks weren't directed at them, or intended to hurt them?

She doesn't care what her actions mean to anyone unless they reflect back onto her. Rather than apologize to Obama, she attacks him and his campaign. She exploited the memory of RFK's assassination for her own personal political gain, and then refused to acknowledge that it could have any consequence for anyone other than herself and RFK's family. I am thoroughly ashamed of her and every step she has taken in this campaign since she fell behind Obama. She should be ashamed.
