In the spring of 2007, a conference was held on the outskirts of Washington, DC. Entitled Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan, it hearkened back to the Winter Soldier testimonies held three decades ago during the Vietnam War. Of the testimonies we filmed, this one, by Iraq War vet Jon Michael Turner, was the most compelling and intense.

Thank you for showing some truth. We hear some much about the many troops who are killed yet there are thousands more innocent civilians(men, women, and children) who have fallen victim to this unjust war.

My local Pacifica radio station (KPFA 94.1 in Berkeley) aired the enitre Winter Soldier in March 08. You can watch it all on the web, just google. I could barely move by the end of the weekend.

Yes, I wonder why HuffPo is posting something from 2007, when there is the March 15, 2008 testimony before a House subcommittee? I saw some of that on DemocracyNow! this past weekend. Very moving, heartfelt testimony.

If our "mainstream" news sources *ever* covered any of this, there would be a much greater outcry against our dual occupations of Afg and Iraq, and absolutely no support for "obliterating" Iran.
