Report: Crist Circulating 'Make Out Tape' To Squash Gay Rumors

How interested is Florida Governor Charlie Crist in being John McCain's VP runningmate? So much so that veteran GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone -- who coordinated a few dirty stunts in support of Crist during the 2006 gubernatorial campaign -- is quietly peddling a so-called "Charlie Crist sex tape." That's what Stone called it during a telephone conversation. And no, it is not a tape of Crist having sex with a guy. In fact, it isn't even X-rated. The video was seemingly staged to kill the rumors that Crist is gay. Stone claims the tape -- which he discussed recently with Politics1, but didn't show to us ("I'm saving it for the national shows") -- "shows Charlie fooling around in a hotel elevator with his girlfriend ... They're making out." Adds Stone: "It was captured on a security camera in the elevator" last month. And Stone just conveniently happens to have a copy of the hotel's elevator surveillance tape, just when Crist's name is in play for the VP spot. Hmm. As for Crist's purported girlfriend -- presuming it is the same one he took as his date to the White House Correspondents Dinner in DC a few weeks ago -- she's still married (and not to Crist). Disclaimer: Always be skeptical of anything from Stone.

I don't care about my leaders' sexuality, only about his/her integrity. If one does wish to make sexual preference an issue, as the GOP seems to be doing, I would prefer a leader who is open and honest about his sexuality, and then suggest we drop it and move on to the issues that count. I would not like to have a leader who, no matter what his sexuality, has so little self-control that he would do something as juvenile as make out in a public elevator. Having said that, I can only hope that this two-faced political ploy, if tried, fails miserably.

The GOP have lost their integrity and their values, and are totally unfit to lead this country in the direction it must go if it is to survive another hundred years.

We should not be electing the GOP into the White House, we should be forcibly removing them through impeachment!

My sister was an interior designer with Dayton Hudson, later Marshall Fields, now Known as Macy's . She worked with a lot of gay guys through the years, and I have to say all but one of them were swell people. Only two of the men she worked with weren't gay. I could spot this guy just the way he handled himself, I would have bet money on it that he was gay. This is actually the first report that I have seen of this question. I would bet that they are right on the money. I do not know why that the Republicans are so hypocritical on this subject. Yes I do . They are exploiting the hidden side of it for gain at the polls. Big difference between Mcgreevey and Crist. Let's start with Mcgreevey is a Democrat, Crist a Republican. Mcgreevey's period in office was mired in scandal/criminal activity, Crist - no. Mcgreevey married a woman, admitted in print that he lied to her, sexually harrassed an employee (employee's version), used NJ state funds to put lover on payroll (Mcgreevey's version). No, there's not much they have in common except both being male and governor. If we judge people by something this simple we can say Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, et al are the same because they were all men and President. Rather silly, don't you agree?
