When Bill Kristol was hired by the New York Times, it was announced that he would continue on as the editor of the Weekly Standard. This led many to believe that Kristol would be phoning it in to the Times, not really giving them his top-level stuff.

Sure, the Times has had to issue a few corrections here and there, but that's only because the column has been so original, so daring, that, to paraphrase Scotty Reston, to make a great editorial about a good omelet, you have to break some eggs.

Nice to see Bill is still cheerleading our troops into the mouth of a war concocted by him and the other neocon nabobs who talk tough when it's other people's lives on the line. Such intrepidness to root for the continual operation of the world's most expensive meat grinder.

The NYTs needs to move his column to the funny pages. But the trouble with that is there's nothing funny about his sociopathic ramblings. Get help, Mr. Kristol. Better yet, get a heart and a soul.

To think this man still has a job, amazes. He spills his arrogance and lies, with a smirk in his silly face. One day his supervisors will finally see the real Kristol and will say hasta la vista baby!!

He didn't just fly in from Pluto. His supervisors' supervisors took a look at the real Kristol and said, "Yes, that's the man we want."

Well, I haven't thrown on a uniform and headed out to Iraq even though I am the age to do so. So what I take from this article is that since I chose not to serve I can't express a sense of "debt or awe", or suggest people be "less shy" about thanking the troops, or express that I think the troops are "remarkable", or refer to them as "fallen warriors".

I'm guessing the only thing you would've been happy with would've been a hearty, "F*ck The Troops"!

Support the war and support the troops are two entirely different things - if you support the war, then yes, why haven't you "thrown on a uniform and headed out to Iraq"???

But if you support the troops, then we should all work to end the American participation in the Iraqi civil war and bring them all home.

Kristol uses his support the troops mantra as an excuse to support the "War".

If you truly support the troops as much as you claim, then you should be appalled to see them put in "harms way", for the reasons given by the Bush administration.

Maybe you can replace 2 of my family members, who have done multiple tours in the ME.

What we haven't learned: why doesn't the NYT report that Bill Kristol has been and is available on demand as an advisor to John McCain? Isn't there a pretty basic journalistic law which covers this? As in full disclosure? Is Bill Kristol the one we want giving foreign policy advice to a President? Bill Kristol, as in "the problems between Sunni and Shiites are liberal pop psychology?" Giving advice to a President who doesn't know that there are a few major ethnic problems with some pretty violent bloodbath implications for both Iraq?

And did anyone read that revolting piece by the Weslyan brat? "I know what it feels like to be an outsider because I spent two weeks of my summer vacation in Guatemala running up service points for college admission and this summer I'm going to Prague, so then I'll REALLY know what it means to be an outsider." Could you keep your dinner down?

Kristol really said "the problems between Sunni and Shiites are liberal pop psychology?"

That's so incredibly absurd, yet deviously clever enough to make it the "liberal"s fault at the same time.

This neocon wingnut flake will drag the once prestigious NYT down with him. But I'm sure they know that already and decided bombing Iran at this critical juncture is worth the death of American print media too.

What We've Learned: Kristol is a chickenhawk war criminal richly deserving of a place in the defendant's chair when the war crimes tribunal starts at The Hague.

Compare the neocon treatment of Bill Kristol with that of Ron Paul. Wonder who runs the media?

Why are people still listening to this guy after the propaganda he spread for Bush/Cheney?

It would appear that the NYT has "jumped the shark". What else can explain the presence of Kristol. They have dumbed it down to the point of providing the level of coverage provided by worst of cable news -- substituting people on both sides of the fence for real analysis. Sad. Very sad.

Even more sad is this is just a warmup for the upcoming bombing of Iran. The NYT has been pushing bombing Iran for years.

We know he hasn't served in the army, most americans haven't, and still have an opinion on the war and the military. My questions is, has he ever had a "JOB". By JOB I mean work where you make 70 dollars a day (BEFORE TAXES), you hate your boss and your boss hates you, and you just got your hours cut. In my mind if you haven't had a JOB in your life, you shouldn't be commenting on the American people and what we think and feel, because he just doesn't know. Damn writing that made me angry.

He should be assigned work at Walter Reed Hospital cleaning up the operating rooms after the Vets.

Or as a janitor cleaning bedpans.

Learn what it is to be an American.

Bill Kristol is one of those types that is really, really intelligent, but completely and utterly lacking in any common sense whatsoever.

Which is one of the most dangerous types, in fact, because they can dupe people into listening to their drivel.

I have yet to see any evidence of intelligence in this man - particularly as I read his columns. Remember the one about race? When he said there is no race problem in America? Let's Not and Say We Did?

And remember that brilliant document - the one put out by Project for a New American Century? The blueprint for Iraq? The one that failed to mention that not all Iraqis thought alike or that no one really wanted American style democracy or included a single Iraqi in its plan?

It is a shame that Kristol, the Goebbels of the Iraq war, responsible for large scale murder and destruction is a columnist for New York Times. He should be charged and tried for what he has done.

Bill Kristol did not serve in the US military because he is a cowardly chickenhawk. He advocated the war in Iraq, and he pushes for war with Iran, but he expects other people to make the required sacrifices. He is a parasite. He has never sacrificed anything for his country. He cares more for Isreal than he does the US. He is not a patriot.

I just don't get it. Billy the Bloody Kristol has been wrong at EVERY turn! Why does anybody pay any attention to this man? No, I really just don't get it. I wouldn't pay ask this man for the time of day, let alone get advice from him on political and foreign policies. Sheeshe.

Isn't that amazing? He can be wrong about EVERYTHING and still keep employed.

In my line of work, if I had a record like his, there would be bodies strewn along the highways of the Four Corners.

O wait. He has bodies strewn about the world in his wake.
