Bob Dole Tells McClellan: You're A "Miserable Creature...Spurred On By Greed"

Bob Dole yesterday sent a scalding email to Scott McClellan, excoriating the former White House spokesman as a "miserable creature" who greedily betrayed his former patron for a fast buck.

In an extraordinary message obtained and authenticated by Politico, Dole uses his trademark biting wit to portray McClellan as a classic Washington opportunist.

"There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don't have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues," Dole wrote in a message sent yesterday morning. "No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique."

Michael Marshall, Dole's spokesman and colleague at the Alston Bird law firm, confirms the message came from the former senator and presidential candidate. "Yes, it is authentic," Marshall wrote in an email.

Mr Dole a lot of the same things can be said about you, after all it is your party that you as a senior role model let run amuck on America. It is a little late for guiding one of it's members. Where was your senior guidance when Bush was planning all of this madness? Where are all of the senior and supposedly respected republicans who should have been acting like true conservatives and restraining big government ? How do you sleep at night knowing what the republican party has become and what America has become at home and in the eyes of the rest of the world? Has the last seven years had your blessing? This is like going into a burning building and criticizing one sprinkler head when we have had a total system failure.

A political hack like Bob Dole isn't bothered by Republicans who knowingly lie - only when they tell the truth. Old style politicians like Dole are the epitome of what's wrong with this country today.

Even though it is old news for those who wre paying attention, I say give McLellan every opportunity and platform to speak: there are those who have still not heard the facts, and he is doing an excellent job of communicating them, even though much of the nuance can be ignored.

Over time, as is typical of me, I have observed some laudible elements wihtin this man. I work at that; It runs in yhe background. Dynanimc phenomena in play here acorss the board....catalysts, litmus test, klieg lights....all bringing everyone's authentic realities to the fore.

In this, we now see clearly: all his shirts are brown; we can no onger turn away from his flat, emotionless discourse and what it has always represented....and we learn that Viagra is not necesesary for GOOSE STEPPING--- . which, O,K right there, must save him serious dead Presidents.

Tho the NOW obvious, intense desire to manage sometihng hard and rigid enuff to bludgeon former Presidential operatives with the unmitigated gall of breaching their contract of absolute, blind loyalty....well, not enuff blue pils on the planet to get THAT ONE up.

Your contemptable, low-class email to McClellan exhibits the absence of integrity and honesty endemic in this disasterous administration, which you and your wife have so steadfastly and ignorantly defended the past seven years! It is a pity that you are so blinded by ideology and "party loyalty" you cannot see truth when it stares you in the face, nor recognize that, sometimes a man has to obey the dictates of his own conscience, rather than remain "loyal" and SILENT to protect "the Boss"!

A man who really loves his country (and you--of all people--ought to know what that means!) should be heaping praise on one with enough courage to expose wrongdoing in our leadership and seek to change the destructive nature of our present-day style of politics! I honestly question your "love" for this country when you and your contemporaries in the GOP stand silent and "loyal" while this President continues to treat our Constitution with utter contempt, the American people as ignorant masses to be manipulated, our military forces as nothing but "cannon fodder" to achieve his own "glory", and other sovereign countries (and their people) as simple pawns in a mad, geopolitical chess game!

For pity's sake- I thought i was finally, finally through with Bob Dole. As a native Kansan i went through all of my life. Having to listen to one more invective out of his mouth is almost more than my gag reflex can take. I have this urge to hurl that i thought was finally dead and gone. I don't know about you, but McClellan did not in any way shape or form appear to be revelling in the limelight back in the day. In fact he looked pale, fat and sickly, probably due to the stress of covering up lie after lie for the Repugs.

Greed? Cashes in? Hey Bob Dole...I remember you walking on the beach cashing in yourself on some fine commercial money endorsing the erectile disfunction meds known as Viagra.

I can see how it pisses you off when someone sells out, while you've maintained such a glorious record of public service into perpetuity.
