Hillary Rodham Clinton is coming under growing pressure from Democratic Party leaders and elected officials to quit the race, while some of her own supporters seem reluctant to rally behind her strategy for salvaging her presidential ambitions.

Intervening in the primary fight, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are sending public and private messages to superdelegates urging them to make a choice once primary voting ends Tuesday.

I hate the Campaign that Hillary is running and I prefer Obama for president, but if Hillary wants to lose in front of the world in slow motion, that's her right. It's our right to insist she follow the rules.

Caucuses count ( even though I think they are a bad idea)

Hillary signed the pledge not to campaign in Mi and Fl.

thus Hillary DOES NOT have the vote: note the popular vote, not the delegate vote.

Why does my post need approval. What I said was true...Is this a facist web site?

Yes.

That's why we all wear brown shirts, have Charlie Chaplin mustaches and speak German.

You couldn't tell?

Now, at the end after all else has failed and her support is waning, Hillary has attempted to turn the presidential race into a feminist right movement.

There is a time, place and season for everything. This presidential race is crucially important to the citizens of this great nation. Too important for Hillary to use women who believe we have have not gone far enough and to measure our success, we must have a female president. This is Hillary's base.

Her platform is equally inappropriate. When she had an opportunity to add her voice to the outcry over voter disenfranchisement in 2000 in FL and 2004 in OH, she kept silent. Her faux outrage now is scandalous.

No Hillary, we will pass on supporting a whiskey drinking, gun loving, sniper dodging, manipulative mansuit wearing, wannabe man.

We are taking our chances on a real man who is not ashame of who he is and who doesn't pretend to be anyone but who he is. We are taking our chances with someone who knows and loves the constitution, the United States of America and its citizens. Someone who loves this country enough not to send its sons and daughters into an illegal war.

Well said and it is sickening the way she has tried to connect her failed campaign to an honorable movement. It doesn't affect my view of all women, but I will certainly be more wary of a very few.

I feel like Bart Simpson:

I will never again use SuperDelegate rationale to show Hillary is stronger against McCain.
I will never again use SuperDelegate rationale to show Hillary is stronger against McCain.
I will never again use SuperDelegate rationale to show Hillary is stronger against McCain.

What on god's green earth is the reason that hyper-partisan HuffPo censors have deleted TWO comments (at least one with civil replies) that totally C-O-M-P-L-Y with nominal HuffPo Comment Policy?

Is it secretly against Comment Policy to challenge readers to review the 1972 basis for the 20% weighted SuperDelegate process, or highlight the fact that Obama and Hillary are within 6% of each other per pledged delegates, or god ferbid, that Hillary is polling well AHEAD of Obama vs. McCain?

Intellectual dishonesty runs rampant in the halls of HuffPobama HQ. FOR SHAME!

I have been collecting screen shots all day and will be following up with the adults.

UNITY 08, not Obama 48.

Hopefully, you can get somewhere with the message controllers. I wasn't. They said they were unaware of any posts which were deleted or "moderated". I find it hilarious considering some of the vile and putrid ad hominem BS being spouted by Obama supporters which never fails to find it's way in Huffpoland. All Obama detractors be DAMNED!

I dont think she has any real friends.

Maybe no one she knows can read or count.

How can you claim to be the best candidate, when your campaign cant even pay its bills?

She is operating so outside the rules. She wants to take all of Michigan because they voted for her . The reason being because Obama was not on the ballot because there was not supposed to be an election due to them changing the dates. She agreed with that decision as well UNTIL she desperately needed them. She is now saying she does want those votes which are now officially STEALING votes, a republican tactic.
She wants to change the rules because she is losing BUT if she were winning and Obama did this to her she would be so pissed off and it would be over by now!
She is plain out cheating and doing it right in front of the american public.
I had planned to vote for whichever Dem is running but I cannot vote for a cheater/thief/liar.
AND after all the debaucle I have seen Pelosi pull (or not pull) how can I trust that she will help make the right decision for us. I thought she was going to really change things but she has done the opposite.
I am getting to feeling really bitter.. I wish I knew a good church and a place to go target shooting..

Obama please come through!!

It's time for Clinton to go. I know there are some diehards and fanatics in the Clinton campaign as in all campaigns (even Obama's -- and they give me the creeps too) and I'm sure they don't want her to quit -- and they are the noisiest and the most frequent commentors on blogs -- BUT to assert that all 17 million people who voted for Clinton in the primaries want her to continue or even that 8.5 million +1 do is simply not credible or provable. I'm not sure the opposite is true either --- but I do know many people in my state (which Clinton won) who want her to quit and who want to get on with the general election campaign.

They are not bitter, they are not diehards, they get it that when your candidate loses, it's over ; they are Democrats.

I'm a woman, I'm over 50 and I'm tired of all the whining and moaning about Clinton having been badly treated. Not by me, not by Obama -- so be mad at the press who are sexist (but who, though you refuse to admit it, also keeping Clinton alive by covering her campaign as if she still had a serious chance) but who also love fomenting this conflict because it feeds into their favorite narrative that Democrats are politically suicidal losers. It also helps them to avoid looking at McCain. Clintonistas, you might HATE the press, but you NEED them. This kind of psychodrama

How about the way HRC and her supporters have been treated by Obama surrogates and supporters? Do you have the same righteous indignation for that situation?

I read this accusation frequently.

I think she's already so marginalized herself, only the extremists supporting her respond anymore to her BS.

Earlier in the week she attacked Obama and it just evaporated in the media.

The rest of us have moved on, she and Bill have their nails dug into the past.

If you believe that Huffpo DOES NOT censor HRC supporters/Obama detractors than you have a problem with reality.

I agree---but it has a funny side too.
I am not one to throw the concept of denial around very often, or at all---but in this case I'd say she is in denial and denial of the most extreme kind: utter divorcement from reality.
Or at least it seems that way. Not just about her massive campaign debt but other things too.

What a joke. Her campaign probably would be bankrupt without her personal loans.

I was going to vote for her IF she won HONESTLY.. What the heck am I to do if she does not win HONESTLY???? I cannot vote for a republican. UGH~!

Importantly SHE is the one blocking the seating of MI delegates because they came up with a compromise that her campaign rejected while Obama's accepted.

Moreover, when talking about "disenfranchisement", what about all of the MI and FL voters that didn't bother participating in the primaries because they thought their votes wouldn't count?
