Kiss Enlists Condoleezza Rice In Kiss Army Fan Club

STOCKHOLM, Sweden — The Kiss Army fan club has an enthusiastic new recruit: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Rice was in the Swedish capital Thursday for an international conference on Iraq. Kiss had a sold-out concert to play Friday.

"I was thrilled," Rice said of her late-night encounter with Kiss frontman Gene Simmons and bandmates Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer in the executive lounge of the Sheraton Hotel where they signed autographs and handed out backstage passes and T-shirts to her staff.

"It was really fun to meet Kiss and Gene Simmons," she told reporters, noting that they seemed well-informed about current events. The band had asked if she could stop by after she finished dinner with the Swedish foreign minister and Rice readily agreed, she said.

Rice, a classically trained pianist, said she has eclectic musical tastes ranging from Beethoven to Bruce Springsteen.

Hard rockers such as Kiss are included in the mix, and Rice said her favorite Kiss tune is "Rock and Roll All Nite."

But, Rice conceded, she has never seen the band in concert.

Rice has been an enabler to Bush, She could have gone public, like McClellan about all the immoral, unethical and possibly criminal actions of Bush, Cheney and Rove, but she has chosen to be "loyal" and silent and remain in denial. Over 4,000 U.S. soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's are dead as a result of her gross incompetence. Rice should be shunned by any university she seeks employment with. Lieing, shilling, subterfuge, splicing and dicing the truth to make one's case is not what we should be teaching tomorrow's leaders. As a woman raised in the church, she should be ashamed of herself.

I ONLY LEARNED ABOUT kISS from the reality show. I cherish the health of the family it depicts....cause it is uncommon AND SO nourising. But it is also true that Mr. Simmons, while honest in so many refreshing ways....also self mocking which I celebrate in anyone wohle enough to manifest it... is not the most evolved or politically acute human who ever lived.

This Condi thing aint' ecactly a RINGING ENDORSEMENT given who SHE IS.

Always dreaded seeing and hearing Gene Simmons, not just a conservative but a bloodthirsty reactionary in the Ted Nugent mold, whenever he appeared on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect. No surprise that a villain like CR would join the KISS Army.

Gene is not a conservative. Being born in Isreal, he has no love for many of the neighboring countries and supports the Bush way of doing business when it comes to that. However, he freely admits that he is socially liberal and I'm nearly positive that he has said that exact term. He has also said that he was a big fan of Bill Clinton and voted for him.

Not sure if he is actual Sabra...meaning born there, but he was raised by a virtually single other in Israel, and pretty sure he IS SABRA. I think now ,many Sabras are to the right....for reason which are obvious if also painful to behold. This is NO WAY ANY CLICHE AMERICAN MALE ROCKER. His goal was to be very rich. KISS is not political and no one knows where Paul Stanley stands politically because he won't talk about it. He has said many times that he thinks it's silly when entertainment people talk politics because he feels that they are mostly unqualified to talk about it.

The only thing I have heard him say is that he feels that the country is probably in need of a change, but wasn't crazy about any of the candidates. Still, most fans presume he probably leans Democrat.

Gene was openly a Bush supporter, but that does not make him a Republican. He was a Clinton supporter before Bush.
