Los Angeles Times:

The Los Angeles Times reports on McCain's "YouTube gap":

The video lasts just more than three minutes. But that's long enough to raise some nasty doubts about John McCain's reputation as a straight talker.

There's the Arizona senator arguing both sides of President Bush's tax cuts. Here's the supposed foreign policy wizard flubbing the simple facts about which terrorists are being trained in Iran. He's even ducking his own admission that he needs to learn more about economics.

The newsreel of McCain lowlights has zoomed up the YouTube charts in the last week, with more than 1.5 million views. "John McCain's YouTube Problem Just Became a Nightmare" is the video's title, which might be dismissed as partisan hype but for one thing: It's true.

The presumed Republican presidential nominee is taking a serious drubbing on YouTube, the most popular video-sharing service on the Internet and the virtual town square for millions of new young voters. ...

Six of the top 10 videos returned by a "John McCain" YouTube search Thursday pegged the 71-year-old as inconsistent, extreme, wooden or a combination of the three. (The one clearly favorable piece came from the McCain campaign and focused on his Navy service.)

Here's the video from BraveNewFilms that's "raising nasty doubts" about McCain:

All you have to do is just watch the incredible 180-degree reversals of his "heartfelt" beliefs, and you KNOW that THIS GUY WOULD BE BAD NEWS FOR AMERICA!
It's bad enough that we have had ONE idiot in the White House for nearly 8 years - to place another incompetent idiot into that position of power would just be proof that Americans have been completely hoodwinked. DON'T BE FOOLED!

While Sen. McCain shouts in our ear about his so-called experience and readiness to lead, he has repeatedly exposed his ignorance and uncaring attitude. Sen. McCain has shown unbelievable memory lapses (even during foreign trips—in Israel), showing confusion on key issues and facts such as “Iran training of Al-Qaeda in Iraq”and his talk about staying in Iraq for 100 years. He is acreature of the old politics, hence he manipulates, lies, and has saddled his campaign with powerful Washington lobbyists. He believes that Amaricans are so gullible--that all he has to do is resort to the Bush politics of fear and deception. Thus, he avoids discussing pertinent issues to voters; insteads he relies on the reframe of "honor, country and patriotism" as his selling card. He shouts insults at Obama through his lobbyist-penned daily press scum. It will not going to work this time. We should make a clean break with Bush-Cheney-McCain foreign policy and militarism. WE MUST TAKE NOTE OF THIS 21ST CENTURY TRIP FROM J. MCCARTHISM TO J. MCCAINISM.

great video..and scary. This guy scares me even more than Bush

I lie other can't wait to see him up against Obama in a debate. Obama is very smart, quick and actually knows his facts when he talks about issues.

During the primary he held back because he didn't want to be seen attacking a woman or another fellow democrat.

McCain will be in for a rude awakening. It's gonna be target practice for Obama like his days back in law school

Yes a debate between Obama and McCain will be an absolute delight. An award winner!
They haven't seen anything yet.

The corporate media, of which Fox News is by far the most corrupt example, make Obama responsible for the words of other people, but do not hold McCain accountable even for his own.

Everyone should open up their own YouTube account and use it to feature and disseminate "Meltdown" McCain videos. That will help get their views up within YouTube. You can also embed those videos in blogs throughout the web and send them to your friends, family and coworkers.

The Revolution WILL be televised!

ElPerro. Fantastic comment.
Now here is how we see this new blogging issue/internet from their view:
McCain in conversation with Clinton.

McCain - What are you talking about Hill! You can talk about and raise funds on the internet??

Clinton - Yes John, how come you don't know about it. I raised all my campaign funds there.
I have known about this forever - I was the first one to use the internet to raise funds and get organized. I found it 3 months ago John. You should use the internet John in this campaign.

McCain - Okay Hill - dial it up for me and lets get going.

Clinton - don't be silly John, that isn't how you do it! You call your biggest lobby Company and they will hire someone to do it for you. (whisper whisper lowering voice ) ....and you don't even have to include that as a donation John. Thats how I did it. Now remember John, we didn't have this secret meeting.

McCain has much more than a You Tube problem. He is almost as dumb as the guy he wants to replace in the White House and he knows nothing about the Middle East. Oh, and it slipped my mind momentarily - his economics are not even existent.

Oh come on. They Guy has been in Government for 26 years. plenty of time to change his mind a time or two.

The only reason why Barack's position appears stable, is because he's never taken one. (Hope and Change are not positions.)

He voted "present" the entire time he was in the illinois Legislature, and he has been running for President ever since he won the US Senate.

first of all it was a 100 votes out of thousands do your research before you start spewing partial truth, I hope your candidate will go down, and if he shall emerge victorious it is only for one reason, and you know it, if you are depending on that, I am going to put my faith in the Amerian people, in the end we always do the right thing!!!

You don't understand the illinois legislature do you? If you vot present, it means you could be for the bill but want to see some thing in it or about it change, before you give it your approval! Other wise it may be a good Bill, but has some slack area's that need changed and polished to make it a great bill that he would back and give a thumbs up to! And he did not vote Present at every vote! That's just a out right lie on your part! Please don't try to out do Mccain or Hillary on your gaffe's and check them out first. And while I'm at it Mccain is a war hero, and served Arizona well! Please point to the real trouble! Mccain apparentlly is have memory problems, and trying to hard to get the core base to support him and has had to change directions on several topics to suit them, and can't keep straight at his age what are his own thought an convictions, to those being pushed on him by his party to conform to. You have to feel sorry for the guy! They pick him for their nomanee, than say this is how you have to change and say. They treat him like a puppet and they the party have now created this very confused, stressed out , candidate who doesn't know if hes comeing or going any more! This problem has been created by none other than the Republican party .

My guess is that you have no idea what voting present really means in the Illinois Legislature. When a representative or senator votes 'present' on a bill in the IL Legislature, it means that the official has some objections to the bill and supports other parts of the bill and prefer it to be revised and revoted upon. If enough 'present' votes are tallied in regards to a bill, then it is pulled from the agenda and given a sufficient amount of time for opposing sides to either work out a compromise or flat out abandon the idea due to lack of support for the original measure. There!! You learned something new today. I seriously doubt that you can continue to believe that you can sway anyone's voting preference by slamming Obama on a "present " vote.

"He voted "present" the entire time he was in the illinois Legislature, and he has been running for President ever since he won the US Senate."

Any facts to back up that claim?? I believe he announced his candidacy on February 20th, 2007 in Springfield, Illinois. Once you have actual facts, you can start to sound like an intelligent American, you know, the well-informed, well-educated citizenry that our founders envisioned??

Hey Shozen - YOU MORON !!! It is time to STOP devouring our own and concentrate on McSame!!

Just for the record, I for one will be able to separate Obama from his fools and vote for him since he will be our nominee but you sure make that look like it will be a real chore........

Shozen, you certainly connect a strange pattern of electoral dots. In polls Sen. Clinton is beyond the margin of error over Sen. McCain in the blue and marginal states, and dramatically ahead of Sen. McCain in the female vote which is projected to be 55% of the projected voters in that block. At the present time Sen. Obama is not so favorably positioned, and among women his support is shaky at best and declining recently. Combine our two candidates in either order, and the Dems project a landslide. The most glaring impediment to this opportunity are the Clinton bashers in the fringes of the Obama campaign. Sen. Obama does not help his cause, however, by his tepid response to the misogynous attacks on Sen Clinton's candidacy. GO OBAMA-CLINTON!

Those calculations make sense only if you use the Gore/Kerry/Clinton strategy for the GE. That hasn't worked. Doing it again would be suicide. There are other strategies.

But Clinton wouldn't know anything about that. She played the same old primary strategy that is 50 years old - show up, run a few TV ads, pat yourself on the back. Obama took a different strategy and ripped the nomination right our of her mouth before she could swallow it.

Clinton on the ticket would guarantee defeat. She would be a liability to any strategy that can get a Democrat elected rather than almost elected (Gore/Kerry).

This ain't Kansas anymore Toto.......

"What is really scary, is this man might end up the President due to the Antics of Hillary."

That is exactly what Hillary wants, Shozen. She had rather see McCain win than Obama. Hill is all about vengeance and ambition. You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until she can't steal that nomination.

The most interesting segment for me on thte video is where he says he has extensive knowledge on economics and the very next frame shows him saying,he has no clue about what tax cuts are about.

Thats someone who has had to cast votes on tax cut bills. One question,if he knows nothing about tax cuts, when he was casting those votes, what was he voting for or against?

My problem was when he sung that tune "bomb, bomb, bomb....bomb Iran!!" At that point, it just enlightened me that he has nothing on the mind than to continue with the war up until there is nothing left---killing civilians without a care. When you're up in the air you have no idea who you're killing. Innocent people who have nothing to do with the reasons we went in, in the first place.

I am sure many Old fashion Politicians must be saying to theirselves now,Why did God had to create Tim Berner Lee(that is the professor of Computer Science at Southamptom University ,UK who invented the internet).

You could imagine prior to the Internet becoming something for everyone,no one will ever get to see or even hear this.

The Clintons biggest weapon while Governor of Arkansas was to get the press to lynch any critic, discriditing them and making things up. But right now they cant do it,because everything they have ever said is out there and on the web,for individuals to compare and contrast by themselves.

To summarise, every politician from now onward will have to be honest,or burry themself with their very own mouth.

Hear hear. And the internet is what is going to enable Obama to win. He wouldn't have had a chance if all we had to go on was media sensationalism and didn't have any other sources.

Point of information:
Tim Lee is credited with inventing the World Wide Web. Vint Cerf is probably the person most credited with, "Inventing the Internet." Al Gore has also laid claim to this invention. While he was derided for making that claim, from a political point of view it holds some water as Gore was the mover in the Senate for having the DARPA Internet transferred into the Public Internet.
