That was a stroke of brilliance! ( and of course, Stewart made a good point about the snooze-effect of most audio books)

Speaking of audio, for some GREAT audio (music) for your little kids, check out Kimmy Schwimmy!
Simply the best new children's music artist to come along in a LONG time. And her music won't drive us parents crazy...it's actually great music to listen to for adults too!

Always loved the B52's - fell off my chair laughing! Didn't stick around for the author interview - been there, done that.

Maybe all month.

Jon was beyond brilliant in this interview... didn't give the bugger an inch! Every attempt at tap-dancing was met with an agressive push back to the subject. That's what we need from the ACTUAL press.... real nitty-gritty. I visualise Jon as moderator in a presidential debate armed with a hand-held aerosol horn. Any time a candidate veers off the question into the talking points, FWEEEEEEP.... "Answer the question!"

The only problem is that drunk frat-boys probably wouldn't watch a presidential debate anyway. Jon Stewart is a comedien - not a journalist. And you can't make adolescent-type jokes during a presidential debate.

The reality is Stewart is so soft with his guests you can practically spread him around like margarine...

so you're saying that only drunk frat boys watch the daily show? why would drunk frat boys care about politics?

McClellan was perfectly happy to be a toady and a tool, a Butt Boy for Bush; now he's perfectly happy to rake in the big bucks while trying to look like an innocent bystander. Douchebag! Yo, Scotty, eau de money will never wash the stink of oil money from your fat little hands. What a creep.

As usual, Stewart efficiently cut to the chase: "Were they not lying"! Also, the singing of McClennan's book was a masterful stroke - as in McClellan "singing" like a canary. The big disappointment is that although McClellan proved that Shrubco. lied and deceived, he maintains the pretext that that is not what they did. Maybe he is just too used to contradicting himself! So he only gets partial credit - still a lot more than others, like Powell.

"the new normal" remark deserves the congressional medal of freedom. it was the most brilliant summation of the last seven and one quarter years in the last seven and one quarter years. john stewart, you are awesome! and so is fred schnieder!

Rewrite the headline to focus on the real story here. In seven minutes Stewart did what all the other talk shows failed to do. I loved the clips showing the MSM patting itself on the back for their coverage leading up to the war.

You guys missed the real story here.

The Schnieder bit was so-so, but the actual interview with McClellan was the best one I'd seen.

Stewart was RUTHLESS in his grilling - forcing McClellan to consider whether or not all these Iraq war deaths were actually homicide. At that point, Scotty looked very much like his old self, as he bobbed and weaved in order to avoid answering the question.

Contrast that with simpering Chris Matthews, who played softball rather than hardball with Scotty.

Fred Schneider should perform every dull memoir written by a former Bush staffer. At least then they would intentionally hilarious!

The sad thing is that Scott (from what he was saying) still doesn't understand the destruction that the Bush people did to our country. Stewart just destroys him in the first clip and Scott is either ignoring it or is just too stupid to understand what is happening.
