Poll: Obama Overtakes McCain In National Poll

USA Today:

Democrat Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain 49%-44% among "likely" voters, the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows. A month ago, McCain had a 48%-47% advantage.

Obama's advantage narrows slightly among registered voters, to 47%-44%.

Meanwhile, Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton leads McCain 48%-44% among likely voters and 49%-43% among registered voters. A month ago, she trailed McCain 49%-46% among likely voters.

1,012 Adults does not a poll make, thats probably 2% of the registered voters in this country. If your going to have a poll have a poll of at least 1,000,000 voters.

All you hopeful people seem to have forgotten that Karl Rove is waiting in the wings to come out and destroy Obama. This will get very very dirty and McCain will win easily. You also forget that the dark side has control of the voting machines, the ballot counters and the Supreme Court. There was a coup in 2000 and there is no turning back for those who won. Democracy no longer exists in this country.

Obama over takes McCain without Hillary. If Hillary is on the Ticket Obama will fall behind McCain. Obama needs to consider a running mate with integrity and honesty. I think anyone would be better than a Clinton.

Obama supporters MUST quit saying they don't need Hilary, even if they think it .Its not worth winning without ALL of us - we stand for something! Something that is everything the Bush presidency is not .VP is not my choice for H.C because I think her policy skills would be better served in a Cabinet position.Also if it doesn't work out down the line for her or Barack its not so hard to part.

I thonk Obama has the finesse to pull off a skillfull move here but unless we take the high road too, his efforts are wasted in trying to unite the party.

Why does she have to leave the Senate? Why can't she follow in the footsteps of the great Ted Kennedy and move into a leadership role in the Senate? She is working toward 12 years in the Senate. If she wins her next election she will be on the road to 18 years in the Senate. That will make her one of a small group opf senior senators.

As a woman in her forties who is white, Mexican and Native, I say "YEAH!!!" Leave Hillary to find her own job and choose who would work best with you, Barack. Stop focusing just on the election but focus on the presidential term. It's like spending all your money on the wedding without having anything left for the marriage.
