As I noted below, a bunch of uncommitted Senators met yesterday to discuss how or whether to go public with an endorsement, but Obama advisers don't expect a group of them to endorse today.

Now there's more confirmation of this. The Rocky Mountain News talked to Senator Ken Salazar about what went down at the meeting; the Senators reached no endorsement agreement, and furthermore...

"they want to give Hillary a chance to leave the race gracefully"

Please...the graceful boat sailed a few months ago, and Hillary refused to get on board.

Typical for our elected officials. They do very little to work to make this country better. They are only concerned about what they can get for themselves. We a change in all the elected officials. I don't know who should get the credit for the state of our country. Bush or Congress. I do know since our Congress changed to democratic control more things went down than before the Republicans were in control. I don't really know who should get more credit for letting things worse for us Americans so we should replace ALL of them. I know the senators from my state only work for their own welfare not for the people. I sincerely hope other states are better represented.

These uncommitted senators are cowards with a capital C. Hillary would make a great ambassador to Bosnia because she's such a hard working white person, as far as I know.

What a bunch of cowards. YUK. Any Senator who has not endorsed Obama by midnight tonight will be "on a list."

The Dinos are wrecking the Democratic party.
Is it any wonder they haven't done anything in the last two years? They can't even commit to a delegate!
Fixing the gas problem is way beyond them. I vote to get rid of the DInos and Blue dogs.

Considering the Democrats in Congress complete and utter failure to hold Bush accountable, I am not suprised to see them as spineless cowards in this instance either.

This is why a "C" average student with little to no imagination has run rough shod over the Democratic party for 8 years. Cowards to the core.

Bill's been on the phone don't ya know, or they would have committed to Obama already, what a bunch of chickens*@#s these people are. Quit trying to shove Clinton down our throats as VP, that's Obama's choice not yours. Anyone who doesn't come forward today needs to be gone tomorrow, they are helping to extend this crap as much as the media!

Ok, let me think this through. Uncommitted Senators cannot make up their minds on who to endorse yet they can make up their minds that a joint ticket is a good thing?

Just another day in the Senate?

Absolutely disgraceful!!!! Absolute cowards!!!! It's still all about "power", not about the people - just a different party!! The choice of running mate should not be part of the superdelegates' endorsements! If there is an Obama/Clinton ticket, how does Hillary and her divisive, negative tactical methodologies fit into resolving our massive problems? So we'll constantly hear her blast out folks, she'll constantly complain, accuse still others of being sexist, etc. She'll make Cheney look like the Beav. Plus, what about Bill? This is ridiculous!

I am truly frightened that apparently many of this nation's Dem senators, and probably quite a few of the remaining uncommitted US Reps, the supposed intellectual and political leaders of our nation, can not do ANYTHING on their own and seem to operate completely under a cowardly "group think" mentality. Hey, here's a idea - if you really support Clinton and don't want to endorse Obama just because he IS going to be the nominee, then endorse Clinton! Just pick one! End it! But of course none of these remaining spineless mental giants want to deal with the constituent fall out if they pick Clinton (or vice versa), so now they're proposing a joing ticket to cover their own a**es? Gee, and here I thought that this would be Obama's decision, not that of a group of folks so gutless they can't even pick a candidate on their own.

I have a proposal of my own: If you can't pick a candidate, on your own, by the end of today, then I suggest you should be stripped of your SD status since you obviously seem incapable of handling either the pressure or the responsibility.
