You don't suppose the polls could be manipulated, do you? The press is desperate to make this seem like a horse race.

I urge all Clinton backers to get behind Obama and not roll over to the McCain bed. I think we all know that the tide has turned and the ocean of deceit has finally washed to truth to shore. And that thruth is that McCain's voting record mirrors G.W. Bush to a tee. I'm not saying that Obama has all the solutions or that he will be a great President, but I do know that another 4 years of the GOP will be very detrimentally to Americans.

Yeah, and that's a poll among Republican't voters. TeeHeehe >:-) Imagine when they include the Democratic voters.

This poll is just as useless as all the other polls done during these primaries. Why? Because they are calling people that have landlines. Most of us have cell phones and they cannot call cell phones.

Good for Senator Obama!

Here is a riddle:

What is one thing that all wise men, regardless of their politics or religion, agree is between heaven and earth?

(Answer is in my profile section)

Here is the 2004 Presidential result: Popular vote % of vote Electoral vote
George W. Bush Republican 62,040,610 50.73% 286
John F. Kerry Democratic 59,028,444 48.27% 251
in the democratic primaries, 36,000,000 dems voted, almost precisely 50-50 (Clinton got a couple of hundred thousand votes more). So that is 18,000,000 voted for each candidate which means they each got 1/3 of the total votes that Kerry got in Nov, 2004. It is true that more dems are registered to vote this year, but I don't see how Obama can win without 33.3% of dems who voted for Clinton! The DNC assumes that all of Clinton supporters will witch over to Obama. Many will, some won't unless she is on the ticket. Does the DNC want to find out in Nov? I hope not!! look how close the race was: Obama = pledged:1,763, Superdelegates 395, Total: 2,158
Clinton = Pledged:1,640, Superdelegates 286, Total: 1,926

kiga writes that the "DNC assumes that all of Clinton supporters will witch over to Obama..."

Paging Dr. Freud.

What are you going to say after tomorrow when Hillary asks her supporters to please support Obama now for the good of the country?
11:27 AM on 06/06/2008
They are swearing they will support McCain.

Hill is not much of a leader, is she?

Did you watch the green speech? My gosh, McSame is a horrible speaker. He is going to need serious acting lessons not to mention whatever those meds are for early stage dementia. When America figures out McSame is W only worse, he will be history. My guess is Obama will be able to get him to show that charming PTSD of his in at least one town hall meeting.

It's early folks, we must be prepared for the SWIFT BOATERS, you know they are all going to be putting out all kinds of crap to try and fix this election and there are many of those people who voted for GEORGE a couple of times that will believe their lies and distortions! So we better all be ready to pounce once the machines start, believe me D.C. doesn't want change and especially the GOP they love K Street and all the perks that go with it, like prostitutes, free yachts cars money etc., there are some good ol boy Dems too that may fight this change that's coming. As a few we can't do a thing, but as many we can make them realize were not going to take it anymore!
04:54 PM on 06/05/2008
Granny, you're right about "SWIFT BOATERS" In today's world of instant access to information,re-inventing your past is all too easy to expose. Whether it's a phony war hero or sniper fire in Bosnia that wasn't there,

If Obama sharpens his ability to relate with a common touch, makes a persuasive case for his policies, and picks a good VP, he can up this number to 12 to 13 percent by election time. People are ready for this new and daring politician. He now needs to put on his A game and go out and win this.

Twelve percent of Democrats say they will support McCain in the general election. That's higher than the 8 percent of Democrats who defected to President Bush in 2004. Nearly a quarter of Clinton supporters say they will back McCain instead of Obama in the general election.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The interpretations of the polls have no credibility. They fail to acknowledge the changing dynamics of the voting public since 2004 and rely on old demographic numbers.

How can Obama be leading over all and losing in the independents by a whopping 8 points. Considering that independents and Democrats constitute 35% each of the registered voting public those results are dubious.

When one factor also that 12% of Clinton's supporters will be voting McCain it is almost impossible for Obama to be leading. Unless he has gotten a significant portion of Republican support which this poll has conveniently ignored.

That's what they say now. Obama hasn't made his run at him yet and the Clintonistas are still in mourning.
02:32 PM on 06/05/2008
Lets not get too excited, its still early. Remember how devastating the loss was in 2004 and we thought it was a shoe-in (is that how you spell it?). I am cautiously optimistic, but its gonna take a lot of work!!! Save the excitement for November. It will be like a tantric s*x explosion if/when we win!

Unless Obama drastically shoots himself in the foot he will most probably be the next 2 term POTUS The US will pull back from Iraq, eliminate all secret CIA prisons: Stop torture and make an intense effort to grab bin Laden and send him to the hague for crimes against humanity.

The Democratic faction of our one party system will gain increasing dominance in both the house and Senate.

The US will try to beat Russia and China to the moon in order to recover it's vast quantities of Helium 3.

The economy will make a rapid transition to alternative fuels. We The Sheeple will get some sort of wasteful, insurance driven, universal health care.

A good future investment revolves around fusion, helium 3 driven, nuclear power.

A good near future investment is in vertical, desert grown algae which will replace all fuel in internal combustion engines.

Bill and Hillary will become but a belch in America history.

YES.

And we call that lead: INTEGRITY RISING.
