Stewart Pundits Inevitable

On Wednesday's "Daily Show," the day after Barack Obama declared victory in the Democratic primary, Jon Stewart laid into all the pundits who declared her nomination inevitable, ending with a 2006 clip of Joe Scarborough warning Barack Obama that it was going to be ugly.

It's nice to be reminded that these people whose opinions we're supposed to worship are more than just fallible. They're completely out of touch. You get more reliable information from Punksatawny Phil, or whatever the hell that shadow-seeking groundhog is named.

Very funny but what is with inserting dictators names in to the middle of Obama's name and saying that he will surrender our country to the terrorists. Making fun of his pose is fine. Insinuating that he is a dictator of terrorist is wholely unfair. He wouldn't say such things about McCain or Clinton.

It is a "back in your face, you demonizing Republican's!", joke. It is part of the joke. You know, their failed attempted to demonize Obama in every way. FAILED!

[cont'd, afed27, 6/5, 4:25pm]...No lobbyist $ for Obama? How about millions from companies,
bundlers, who have their employees donate $2300 each? Then they bundle the total, donate it,
with their hands outstretched for favors. Obama has over 361 of these. He already gave General Dynamics what they wanted, in an earmark, so he owes 1 less favor. Did you like his speeches? Plagiarized! Did you like his story of Clinton being the cause of Bhutto's killing because she voted for the Iraq war? He recanted it on Tim Russert's show but never apologized to her. Did you like his turning his back on her at Bush's speech? This was 0 compared to his bumping her off a stage in Ohio so he could make a 46 minute speech, leaving no time for her speech to be taped? Did you like his invasion of a N.Y.C. H.S. so he could tape the kids [ without authorization or parent permission], then distribute the tapes with a "donate" attached? Want more?

it will be a great day, when all of double tongued and dellusional clintonistas will realize that you cant change anything with your bigot moron statements.

in a way all your tactics and lies are amusing, because it is fun to see creatures trying to describe led as gold.

for example ed rendell, trying to blame obama for wright and especially together with HRC trying to tie obama to farrakhan (remeber that tv debate before pennsylvania?) where there was not a bit of a connection, but guess who had some merrits on farrakhan?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXum_-8I1TA

you double tongued disrespectful and dellusional hipocrits. shame on you.

the plain stupidity of the clinton camp double tongue talk just disgusts me.

He has not received millions from companies. When people donate money, they have to put down what company they work for and they are reported as a bundle. I've donted $110 to Obama, but it doesn't mean that my company gave him money.

His speeches are not plagiarized. If you are refering to when he said, "'We hold these truths to be self evident.' Just words?" then again, you are wrong. One of his state campaign co-chairs (Deval Patrick?) said that at one of his speeches and recommended that Obama use it. If you have another example, please provide it.

The rest of your examples are BS.

Try again.

That plageriarism thing was perhaps the worst dirty trick Clinton pulled.

All politicians "plagerize". The alternative would be that all great ideas die with their originator, or every political speech would be diluted beyond worthless with endless credits to various historical figures. Clinton herself plagerizes.

For the pageriarism crap alone, I hope she loses her senate seat and never appears in public again.

Can you document these people are donating because they're directed to by their company (and presumably compensated)?

Individuals can donate up to $2300. I just gave another $100 and I work for a fairly large company. So what? Believe me, they're not "bundling" my contributions.

If you make an accusation like that, you really need something factual to back it up.

I applaud the "no money from lobbiests" policy, but it does concern me that the oposition, either Republican or Clinton, will always be trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill such as this. Absolute purity can never be obtained. Just as anybody can endorse Obama, regardless of the desires of the candidate, so can individuals who work for lobiests donate without it being a donation from the lobbiest. I work for a major company, and the company runs a PAC. I even get letters on occasion telling me how much I should be giving to that PAC. But I donate myself, directly to candidates I support and I don't give to the PAC because my interests and my company's interests do not always coincide.

On Tuesday night at five-o-clock EST, as Jon Stewart was launching the Tuesday show, he patronizingly leaned forward on his desk and told Obama backers to calm down. He said H. Clinton would resign that night. Didn't happen. I have always suspected that Jon's mother or wife or even New-York-Stewart was a fan of H.Clinton. Perhaps the next night, Wed.'s montage, was a little mea culpa. Clinton is not a Democrat, never really was one. In her youth she was a Goldwater, GOP backer. Now she may be fairly seen as a Clintonista. Perhaps even stars in New York now see it.

Duh, seeing Hillary Clinton as a Clintonista is well, circular thinking, and pretty dumb (sorry, but it had to be said). She is not as sanctimonious as Lie Berman.

Hillary drives me crazy when she starts bobbing her head up and down as she reels off lists of things like we are fighting for the invisible, we are fighting for America. In general she has so many smarmy, cocky, disdainful, self-assured looks. No humility in that woman. Not enough love of country.

The last person who stole Obama slogan lost. Barack is a leader. He have McCain now repeating him. Remember Hillary started talking about change and she lost. Obama is the leader and they all follow. Just watch how they will keep trying to use his words. That's leadership right there.

LOL, thought was but one of the few who once Obama got established for calling for "change" and winning, started hearing OTHERS claim THEY were for change...LOL, Hillary too, i her speils on the camp[aign trail, like yesh, so many places she claimed to be "back home with kn/friends/etc"....made a wondering WHY she chose NY to carpet bag that Senate seat...why not Pa or Illinois or ARK, etc...)Hillary tried to sell that SHE was bringing change...lol, and many did go along cuz of nostagic for the Clinton times of yore especially in comparison to the Bushlerized years , but most realize there is NO GOING BACK and too, many were willing to hitch up with Hillary, the little woman would have Bill to guide her /etc...and FOR SURE YEAH FOLKS, for many that was a condition for giving her their support for even they knew she did NOT hold the full ccredentials on her own by any means or stretch of imaginationings...Many were only open if it was to be a 2fer !!!

I love it when Jon Stewart skewers the news of the day and when his team assemble those great montages of all the TV gasbags.

Best bit: "...he's not just running for President, he's running for coin!"
