Stewart Pundits Inevitable

On Wednesday's "Daily Show," the day after Barack Obama declared victory in the Democratic primary, Jon Stewart laid into all the pundits who declared her nomination inevitable, ending with a 2006 clip of Joe Scarborough warning Barack Obama that it was going to be ugly.

Jon was being very funny even though it's VERY serious stuff.

Just as EVERY republicant pundit at Fix Snooze, and even MSNBC people like Scarborough and Buchanan, always claimed Hillary would easily win the nomination and did their best to make that happen, so now it seems every TV republicant claims she MUST be VP because it's the only way the Democrats can win, like that's something they even want. Open the nose and smell what those pundits are shoveling, and ask yourself why republicants want to run against 'the impeachment Clintons' so much.

And, why is it NOT very hard at all to see the worst possible motive in this 'runner-up' now wanting to be VP, and that she actually believes something bad, like assassination, WILL happen to President Obama? She'd then be in a position to step into the office she'll now never win, and the WHY of her desire to be VP then seems to all make sense. It WAS the Johnson administration that committed the crime of the Gulf of Tonkin false flag LIE to strart and escalate the Vietnem War, the exact opposite of what JFK was trying to do and erasing the part of his legacy seeking to end that war.

We DON'T want history repeating itself.

Joe Scarborough is a big douche.

I agree about Joe Scarborough. I wish he and Mika would be moved elsewhere and let Mike Barnacle and Willie Geist take over Morning Joe. Mika works my nerves too. The show could be called 'Morning Willie'. Now that's would be a catchy title that would cull even more ratings.

Former NEOCON REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN Joe Scarborough has skeletons in his closet, or more appropriately, a death in his DC House office when he was in office. He is about as "independent" in his thinking as is Newt Gingrich or Pat Buchanan or Rush Limbaugh.

I watch General Electric d/b/a NBC and affiliates, only when Keith Olberman is on. I TIVO the broadcast and stay away from the others .

Was this the same Scarborough who used to be regularly quoted saying the most horrible things from the right? Is he really trying to act like a chameleon or has he really changed his stripes? We need to ask our politicians questions that can differentiate people of true character who truly care about their constituents, have freedom of thought, and just don't jump on the most popular bandwagon each and every time and exalt in their ego to the detriment of the people around them. This country has nursed so many that think it is acceptable to jump in front of the parade and pretend to be its leader. The word opportunist fits well. Many people don't even know that it is a word tinged with the very negative of selfishness and predation. I think this sums up the primary race on one side as well. Congratulations Barack Obama on your victory and helping us change the whole discourse in the right direction. Everybody, everybody is jumping on your wagon.

OMG that was soooo funny. I was really laughing out loud!!! Im loving the fact that Stewart brought it back to peoples attention that this was suppose to be in the bag for hillary. Do anyone else remember the story the great casey goes to bat. And at the end someone who never stuckout....was down in the count 2 strikes....and then he tried to get serious on the third pitch but he stuck out....That is a great analogy for the clinton campagain. LOL!!!

I loved the clip of all those fools saying it was in the bag for Hillary. I guess thats why they felt the media was against her - because they were no longer 'in the bag' for her.

And most of them are Republicans, overwhelmed by wishful thinking. Now they get the tidal wave instead.

Yes, it was a nice reminder of how she was ACTUALLY treated.

I just watched the whole segment -- yes, he was mocking the "inevitability" line, but also Clinton's comment this Tuesday that the "pundits and naysayers" said she didn't have a chance (when, of course, they had said for months that no one else did). Jon Stewart -- equal opportunity mockery.

LMFAO!!! That is seriously funny stuff. One question: Why did Lincoln speak with an English accent?

Word was Lincoln had a whiny, nasal sounding Kentucky twang that grated the nerves. People ignored the Gettysburg Address because his voice and delivery was so forgettable. It wasn't until later historians realized how great the speech was.

No, he mocked the idea that the press is somehow in the bag for Obama.

But you continue telling yourself that.
