Snub

On the same day that a CBS News poll found that 64 percent of Americans think Sen. John McCain is the same or even more conservative than President Bush, news has leaked that McCain will be "snubbing" Bush at an upcoming fundraiser.

"McCain will not attend President Bush's fundraising dinner for congressional candidates," The Hill reported, "in another indication that the GOP nominee is distancing himself from the man he wants to replace."

But a look at McCain's public schedule finds that the presumptive GOP nominee has no other public events scheduled for the day of the Bush event.

More from The Hill:

McCain's campaign did not comment but the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) confirmed that the Arizona senator will not attend the annual event, which will take place on June 18. A source familiar with McCain's schedule said he is expected to be in Texas on June 18.

"Maybe he found a better dinner?" Republican Study Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), chair of the event for the NRCC said. "When he's the president, he can attend lots of president's dinners."

This is too funny. Sure, distance yourself from Bush, but what about all those Repug fascists who have been forcing themselves to support Bush for 8 long, long years?? Now all of a sudden they're supposed to cheer and cheer when McAlzheimer's trashes the very policies these people have been supporting! It's hilarious! Watch the green speech from LA and listen to the audience reaction when he starts saying how much he has to change what Bush has mismanaged. They don't know what to do! Do we cheer? Do we boo bad policies? We thought we supported these policies, but, um, uh, this guy's the candidate now, we have to cheer for him, duh........FRIGGIN HILARIOUS!!!

And the guys on Fox, reacting to this speech! ROTFLMAO!!!! This is so great! After 8 years of their smug, snide, superior sneering, and it's obvious, they HATE McCain! They know as well as we do that he has NO CHANCE in November. Haha!!! There's this look of desperation in their eyes. Oh man, this is too much! I love it!

GO BARACK!!!!!!!!

"CBS News poll found that 64 percent of Americans think Sen. John McCain is the same or even more conservative than President Bush."

Wow 64%??! That's not only embarrassing, but that just shows that Obama is winning his McCain=Bush message big time. The crazy part is that the general election (and the ads that the Dems will use to define McCain) have barely started. By October that number could actually go up which is hard to imagine because 64% is a lot of people. Thats extremely bad news to have that many americans think you're the same as the worst president in american history.

Hmm, and in other headlines he's now embracing the domestic surveillance program.

Seems McSame has got that hate-the-sins-but-not-the-sinner thingy backwards.

Watch McCain closely, I'm convinced that he is losing it. I believe that there is some cognitive impairment going on here. Unlike Bush, at least he has his age to blame here. Check out Politico there is an article about Gramps. Stay tuned, someone needs to keep track of his gaffes, how about the McCain Gaffometer?

Suggest it to this site. Arianna thinks someone needs to stay ontop of McCain (since the MSM generally won't). Sounds like either she or Dan Abrams (with his "Teflon John" series) would love it.

I agree. I don't think he's all there mentally anymore. I can't imagine a life long hothead with vanishing mental ability, and at leat some PYSD having his finger on the button of our military.

This is scary

In related news - McCain suggests to those struggling with the Bush economy "Let them eat cake!"

What makes you think this is a "snub". It's PLANNED as part of the lie that McCain isn't like the disgusting republican agenda or that ...... Bush. Remember, the more the republicans say something, the less true it is.
