Reuters :

Frustrated in defeat, Democrat Hillary Clinton is to endorse U.S. campaign rival Barack Obama on Saturday and party strategists said she needs to set aside any bad feelings and put on a convincing show of unity.

"Feelings on both sides have been pretty heated and a healing process has to go on and it has to begin tomorrow," said Democratic strategist Doug Schoen, who worked in the Clinton White House.

This speech is the versed in the art of double speak. It is saying: I have been told that I must endorse Barack Obama and I am going to do just that BUT you and I know that I am the better candidate. You and I know that I really won the nomination. Mixed messages. Somewhat inspiring and somewhat disingenuous. But that is and has always been Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I'm sure that to Hillary, the speech today will include appreciation for all the support she's received and a great deal of other praise for her supporters and staff. That's as it should be. She will probably say in the end that she is suspending her campaign and will work to help elect a Democratic president in November. I am wondering to what extent she will turn her supporters to Obama though. She MUST specifically address the women who supported her who are now threatening to vote for McCain and ask them to support and vote for Obama. She must ALSO specifically address "hardworking white Americans" -- that language -- and ask them to look beyond Obama's skin color to their own self-interests and vote for Obama. If she does not address these two groups of supporters directly in her speech today, I will know she doesn't take full responsibility for her campaign OR fully support Obama. Her speech today is another test of her character.

Throughout the campaign, Obama has been extremely courteous to her, but she repaid him with every kind dirty dealing, and after it was obvious that she couldn't win, with a lot of vinvictive trouble making.
She is not trustworthy. Whatever role she plays in the future needs to be one wherein she is restricted by some kind of overview.

She lost because she put loyalty to a radical minority faction of a foreign government over loyaty to you, and supported the $3 trillion war, one of the worst geopolitical blunders in recorded history that stamps an entire millennium with American infamy. She made a calculation that you are too stupid to notice that betrayal, and she could placate an important ultra wealthy New York constiuency without consequences. With the collusion of the corporate media, 17 million voters proved her right, almost enough.

The candidacy was kept on life support for 4 months by the oligarchy so you wouldn't think about things like this:

In business we have two word for people who are always late to meetings: rude & selfish.

I think that pretty much sums up Hillary. What would cause you to be late today when you had no prior commitments this AM? She is just a very selfish person. I am sure this will come through in her speech too. I am sure that her speech will be more about her than him (Obama). I hope Hillary proves me wrong, but so far she has been running true to form in every way.

Simply, put, the Clintons are addicted to drama. Why is everyone giving "that" woman so much time?

She must explain to her supporters that he did not steal the nomination.

She must put an end to the (partly fake) Democrats voting for McCain movement.

She must explain to her supporters that any sexism did not come from him.

Nothing less will do. Nothing less will redeem her in my eyes. She has her work cut out for her, calling back all those lies she has sent out into the world.

30 minute speech.

28 minutes talking about her, how she got screwed, how women got screwed, that she has more popular votes; no acceptance of responsibility, no mention of the fact that she had it in the bag and blew it. Blame every one and play the victim. Forget that her huge lead a year ago was based on all the support she had from every corner. She was the runaway favorite. All she had to do was run a good campaign. Forget that, blaming others is always easier.

2 minutes conceeding and giving a lukeward endorsment of Obama.

I found it's puzzling! Obama had the number to win the nomination and just because Clinton refused to concede that his nomination still depends on hers? Is it important for someone to win the number or to win the concession of the loser? And what a loser! She thinks voters are her own to do as she pleases. They are the ones who voted to determine the winner by the majority. It doesn't mean the minority are not respected, invisible as Clinton declared. In defeat as during campaign, Clinton all the times incited people to fight against each other for her own ambition to be in the WH for a third presidency. This woman has no shame and some of her supporters let her use them as if they belong to her and to her only. I dont't believe 18 millions voters won't vote for Obama. They won't vote against their own interests and they are not stupid as Clinton has always treated them. Count the majority of voters' will too and that is how our democracy works.
This country has been divided but thanks to Hillary Clinton, the division is even deeper than ever. SHAME ON YOU, HILLARY! You will go in the history book as "the first First Lady who won the two beauty/name recognition contests in MI&FL with the most popular votes in history" and used it to dishonestly claimed you won more votes than the presumptive nominee who had chosen by a majority .
