Pregnant Man: 4 Weeks Until Due Date, May Have More Babies (PHOTOS)

Thomas Beatie, the famous, transgendered 'pregnant man', is back in the news. After first announcing that he was, well, pregnant, he then caused quite a stir by going on Oprah and giving details about the impending birth, as well as informing everyone that he has intercourse with his wife.

Now, with only four weeks until he's due to give birth, he has given an interview to the British paper News of the World, in which he discusses his excitement about seeing his baby's face for the first time, reveals his previous life as a Hawaiian beauty queen, and more:

"I feel fantastic," he said. "I cannot wait to see my baby's face."

In a tender and intimate moment, Thomas shares a cuddle with wife Nancy--before telling the News of the World of his secret hopes for the future.

With four weeks to go, he sensationally reveals the couple are ready to have MORE BABIES after the birth of their daughter...

...We have her nursery ready and her diapers are lined up in her bedroom. Everything is ready to go.

"We have even picked a name which we both love--although we're waiting until she is born before we tell anyone. All the people who really know us and love us, our friends and family, have been incredibly supportive...

He was overjoyed when he saw the first pictures of his baby:

That's fine, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't have an opinion about a bearded, surgically altered woman calling herself a man, getting herself pregnant, and then traveling to any news outlet that will have her like some kind of traveling freak show.

Tolerance is great, people should be more tolerant about things that we have no control over. But that doesn't mean we have to like or approve of it. Does tolerance mean that we have to just go along with any crazy stunt that people come up with? Is being concerned about the physical and or future mental health of the child intolerant? At what point is it ok to have an opinion about something?

This is a very interesting question. Where exactly is the line between tolerance and the right to have an opinion? So long as we don't try and pass any laws trying to ACTUALLY affect someone's way of life (i.e. gay marriage bans), I think people are still entitled to their OPINIONS without necessarily being labeled intolerant. I really don't have an opinion of these people's lifestyles, but I completely understand those who feel repelled by it's unnatural-ness.

When I was younger and dyed my hair blood red and got an industrial (a metal bar) through my ear, my parents and grandparents didn't like it one bit; but it's not like they treated me any different besides maybe some good natured teasing. They had an OPINION of what I had done but were TOLERANT of my decision.

I saw on Discovery channel these two twin brothers who were into extreme body modifications. They had some med school buddies of theirs perform a surgery in which the arm of one brother was removed and SEWN ON to his brother's torso so that one twin now has one arm and the other twin now has three. I found this completely abhorent and was downright disgusted by it. I don't want these two thrown in jail or in any way persecuted for this act, but it sure did gross me out. Being tolerant does not mean we are not allowed to have an emotional response to an abnormal action.

If you're anything like a decent human being, you'll take a few moments out of your instinctive and ignorant disgust to decide whether or not this person is hurting you in any way, and if they're any less worthy of having good things in their life as you are.

Has this guy ever hurt you? Walked up to you and slapped you? Do you know ANYTHING about the person he is? He could be the type of person who'd give you his last dollar if you needed it. Could easily be the only person on a busy highway who would stop to help you fix your car when everyone is speeding by. You know NOTHING about this person, and yet you'd say some of the most disgustingly judgmental things.

No one is saying for you to go out and do this. But at the same time, you can't be the type of person who says you want people to have freedom, but only some people, the people that YOU want to be free. That's not how it works.

Fair point for the most part however, there really isn't a story here. When a biological man becomes pregnant that's a story. Somebody whop is biologivcally female and becomes pregnant after gender realignment surgary isn't really a story except as a sort of freak show (which is why the story is being followed and why it wopuld be even more closely followed in the situation i described earlier).

Although there are some who are posting comments reflecting disgust with the couple, I think for the *most* part, comments here are critical of the media's hype of this story. In most of the comments, its not that people care whether or not this couple leave whatever sort of lives they want. People just have a problem with the news presenting this as some medical miracle in which a man has been able to be impregnated when it shouldn't be a news story because this person is a genetic female and it's not exactly breaking news that women, even women who have decided to change their gender, can get pregnant.
