Lindsey Graham

Senator John McCain has aggressively tried to distance himself from Bush in an effort to avoid being tagged by Democrats as running for Bush's third term. However, as Think Progress notes, McCain's chief surrogate, Senator Lindsey Graham, did not adhere to that message during his appearance on ABC's This Week, with George Stephanopoulos.

Stephanopoulos asked Sen. Graham if McCain's tax and healthcare policies are essentially "an extension or maybe an enhancement of the Bush policies." Sen. Graham answered, "Yeah, absolutely."

The one thing you can say about this moron is that he is honest!

Someone should also remind him that he is up for re-election as well!

As a South Carolinian, I must take some umbrage at the suggestion that Lindsey Graham might be involved in some *plot* to overthrow McCain's candidacy, as suggested here by one poster. While I, personally, did not vote for Lindsey Graham, I can attest: Lindsey Graham is every bit as dumb as a post. We have an impressive linneage of politicians in SC, such as Senator Lindsey Graham, to thank for giving birth to the many "dumb southerner" stereotypes we enjoy. In fact, this year our state has set aside a special day for Lindsey Graham. It's called election day. This year, as Lindsey's approval ratings run neck-and-neck with Bush's, many of us hope to reward Lindsey's 6 years of hard work under the auspices of the Bush Administration with a one-way ticket to someplace else. Anyplace but here.

katzooks. very funny. You've confirmed what I've always thought, but wanted to give Graham the benefit of my doubt. So, it's not just me.

Every single day yet a little bit more of the Pilot's chances are whittled away.
Maybe HE should consider conceding soon as well.

I think Lindsey's got to get with the program... McCain's claiming he's not Bush III and Graham, his bosom buddy, now says he is and plans to continue this Batan Death March. D.

There it is!! You bitter Hillary supporters claiming that you will vote for McCain in Nov.
McCain's supporter telling it like it really is!!

THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL!!

You can keep whining about sexism, unfairness and blaming Obama, but the reality is: a vote for McCain is a vote for Bush. Your choice.

R.Paul makes her dead-enders trivial. We welcome the Hill-fans to O'bama, but the dead-enders will be more than offset by the R.Paul fans.

Here in SouthBend IN I've seen tons of R.Paul and O'bama signs, the HillSigns are gone, and McAncient never had any. November is going to be really fun for Dem.s

We are not dumb.
What is the agenda ???
How many minutes did Wright get -a speech and a 2 min resignation.
I wonder when they will make up? Then he will have direct council to the President.
Did we get an explanation about Rezko, Ayers and Farakan - None.
Will they be influential in public policy. I really hope not.
Radical ideologies pose serious security threats and should not be tolerated. Ever.
The Neo Con video with the jogger and hammer, yea that one, on You Tube, divided the electorate with a blatant lie.
Far left party pandering got all the radicals.
Disenfranchising voters at the committee.
He is so generous, get real, who is paying.
We are bitter about a serious immigration issue that will be difficult to address.
Looks like radical ideology, divisive and disenfranchising tactics to me.
Not qualities for the White House.
He is also seriously lacking in experience.
Barrack Hussein Obama is not a Muslim, but he is buddies with Carter.
These are not skin color, these are deeds !
DNC you want our vote, he will be a visionary VP, nothing personal but I will be campaigning for Mc Cain.
Give us our stronger candidate back.
If it is terrible, you know who to blame. Don't forget the judges.
I hope Mc Cain will do a better job at vetting him and, I pray, take the White House.
Security is issue no # 1 and there is no compromise. Obama just does not

"Barrack Hussein Obama is not a Muslim, but he is buddies with Carter. "

So students, here you see a perfect example of a non sequitur. Two clasues joined by the word "but" that have absolutely no logical connection.Textbook example.

Yes, I must admit that early last year, I thought that Mc'Cain would be the better candidate because I thought he was more honest. I was absolutely wrong!

I thought he might possibly uphold the Constitution.... must have just been a dream!

Now he just looks like a nightmare.

The republicans are caught between a rock called Bush and a hard place. On the one hand if they shun him they run the risk of not having plenty of financial backing and shockingly they are some republicans who still like Bush so McCain and his people try to distance themselves from him but they can't go too far because they need his money and his voters. On the other hand if they are too close to Bush the lose indepdents and even some republicans who are not happy with what the conservatives have done to this country. So McCain is doing a balancing act. Hopefully Obama will shake the rope up so that he will fall. McCain is trying to please too many masters thats why the maverick is a flip flopper. Who keeps going back on his word. I personally think if he is elected McCain will be a LAME duck president. Maverick who goes against his party PULEEZE he will be a lame duck.

Let's face facts: Republicans have ZERO credibility. They have been unequivocally wrong about EVERYTHING the last eight years.

Vote them all out. It's time.

"or he just abandoned ship . . . which would make him really stupid."

When you're on a "ship" that's founded in the moral ambivalence and ethical backruptcy of the Republican Party (remember, George W Bush said he was a "born again Christian" whose favorite philospher was Jesus Christ !! How did that turn out?) the stupidiest thing you could do for your soul is stay on board.
